good scene, but the most timeless scenes in the movie were when John Travolta's sitting on a park bench with the Mikey & Julie after Kirstie Alley kicks him outta the apartment & he's talking to the kids & he says "I know Ice Cream doesn't make-up for me not being around anymore" & it show's Julie's face & you hear Rosanne Barr's voice say "Yeah, but it's a good start!!" & then when they're at the day care & Gilbert Godfried is the Day Care teacher guy...that's GREAT

I always felt this scene had a double meaning. It was not just for the story, and how jealous Mikey was of all the attention Julie was getting from her folks. But when this film came out ironically it was December of 1990; 10 years after Lennon was assassinated, and I think the director wanted to put this song in, as a small tribute to Lennon.

More than that, they never made the time for him to understand what the fuss was about. If you watch, he doesn't explain to her that it's just them against old people until the end. It was kinda like the kid was handed to him like "here" and he's like "ok, so what do you want me to do with it?" then the parents argue with each other. How are you supposed to look at that and not think that's how life is? Kids go by example. At least they did with me when I was the youngest. =/
