  • @MaToF666 In the armies' parades, there are (sometimes) invited armies from other countries, in this case, the USarmy, among others.

  • Having grown up in the 1980's, where nuclear annihilation was a very real possibility, it's hearth-warming to see former enemies march down the Red Square, or the Champs-Elysées for that matter.

  • What is the name of the song from 3:26? Can any of my Russian friends can tell me?

  • Polski dumny akcent 5:55 - 6:28 (przed Brytyjczykami)

  • They played the national anthem of the EU at the end, the Eu would be very lucky to have Russia as a member!

  • @TerminalSulcus

    That's not true.

The melody in the end was composed by Joseph Haydn and is the German national anthem.

They've probably played it to show respect to modern day Germany and German Chancellor Angela Merkel who was a guest at the parade.

  • @Suyamu It is not the german national anthem.

  • @Suyamu Yes.. That's not true. On the end is Beethoven's IX Symphony. "Song of joy". Today it's anthem United Europa. Polacy mówią: "wiesz, że dzwonią, ale nie wiesz, w którym kościele" ;-)

  • Nothing on the Grenadier Guards.

  • "dad, why these people move so serious?" ... " well my son, little boys play with action figures and model cars but big boys play with humans. these people are the toy of big people. One day you will be one of these people" (proudly he smiles to his son)

  • Francuzi i Amerykanie przeszli jak jakieś łajzy.

  • Англичане маршировать не умеют?) все машут руками как попало))

  • What's the starting march?

  • @NLFonsseals "The Winners's Triumph" march by a unknown composer.

  • @Winnie9212 What's the song called from 3:26?

  • @kenjisamuraisamurai Ballad of a Soldier by Vasiliy Solovyov-Sedoy.

  • Great to see the US relations with Russia has come this far. Imagine seeing US and other western troops on russia soil 10 years ago.

  • @TerminalSulcus Really? LOL xD

  • Russskaya Nacja eto velikaja nacja, eto nashije slavianskije bratia. Pozdrav iz Polshi.

  • @ustanow Co to za język? bo na pewno nie polski....

  • Oh. Actually. What are they playing throughout the entire video? I didn't really notice it's the same song ;)

  • What song are they playing at 5 minutes in? It's such a beautifull song, but I don't know the name. Any info would be appreciated.

  • @Rohn93

The March of the Defenders of Moscow. It's on youtube

  • @ferdinand31388

from your words, now everyone knows how uneducated you are if you still believe that former Soviet republic Kazakhstan is like in borat's movie.

Just Google kazakhstan. look photos)) videos on youtube) i am sure u nerer did so), just saw in movie, and wow, kazakhstan is like that.)

  • 3:53 Borat's homeland.

  • @ferdinand31388 bitch, THIS - Borat's born. NOT BURN, you know...

  • What is the song after the "WInners Triumph" march, when Belarus shows up, that music sounds so amazing

  • @Fightrt1

    Баллада о солдате

    Музыка: В.Соловьева-Седого

    Слова: М.Матусовского

  • Do they not commiserate the german boy who flew his plane and landed in red square? or is that a bad memory?

  • @MrTourtlesMcDourtle it was an embarrassment for russia..

  • the most powerful goverment in the worl RUSSIA, large life putin!!

  • Is it me, or were the Poles the only ones out of the former Communist countries that actually had different uniforms and a different drill the Russians?

A great parade, but there were countries missing - like already mentioned and countries that we really not needed in the parade. Anyhow great job to all of those marching.

  • @ClassicMusicOnly

Yep , you see although we use to live for quite a bit of time under the communist party regime , we still kept most of military heritage. Polish drill and uniforms were never assimilated to resemble the soviet ones. You can look at it as a sort of saying "Up yours !" towards the commies.

  • @ClassicMusicOnly

Even during communist era we had our own uniforms proper to our military tradition. We were no.2 in Warsaw Pact after all and ironicly in the same time we we re most anti-soviet state in soviet block. Happiest barack in whole concentration camp ;)

  • Would have been nice to see the Canadians there. After all, there were A MILLION of them in uniform, fighting with the Soviets to defeat the Nazis. And what about the French? And the Greeks, whose virtual defeat of the Italians led Hitler to postpone his invasion of Russia till winter set in? Even Stalin recognized how important the Greek contribution was to the USSR's victory.

Anyway, thank you Russia for this gesture of good will!

  • @nojyt The problem with the canadian soldier in WW2 is this : They was at 90% conscript (A order from the UK) so it's weird to ask to civillian to participate a millitary parade ...

  • Comment removed

  • @alexganger That's a VERY strange comment, Alex. First, because every military in the world was 90% conscript in WW2. Second, because Canadian conscription was not ordered by the UK. It had no legal power do this by 1939. Third, because when you are conscripted, you are no longer a civilian. Fourth, because the soldiers who would be marching in the parade in 2010 would not be civilians from 1939.

So I'm afraid your point makes no sense at all.

  • Long Live USSR and Allies

  • I don't thinkt that this day ought to be celebrated at all.

  • @njagr why? its just a day of a celebration over a evil force

  • @Fightrt1 " its just a day of a celebration over a evil force"

Ah, they celebrated the fall of communist Russia.

  • Why is the german army not there.

  • Americans just looked lazy xDD

  • hail Russia.

  • great parade and video. I really loved the end bit when the anthem of europe was played,. May the continent of europe always be at peace in the future.

  • I think this day shouldn't be celebrated as a victory over germany but over tyranny

  • Serbian military should be there. they had always fighing against nazis (not like others european countries which has changed sometime in ww2). Serbs had always fight against the nazis in the their own country yugoslavia but also serbia has sent over 300 000 soldiers to berlin fighting with russians. So its interesting that Serbia military isnt here :OOO

  • British soldiers have nice forme

  • SERBIA & ROSSIA 4 EVER !!!

  • Best and First Azerbaijan

  • @elshadngage gayest and last is Azergayjan who didn't do shit in WW2.

  • Parade formidable.

  • Axaxaxaaaaaaaaa)))))))))))))) posle nas armenia kak govno prowli... :D :D

  • Wait, did they end the parade with 'Ode an der Freude' - the hymn of the European Union?

  • @Mesterse Alle Menschen werden Brüder....

  • @Mesterse They did Ode to Joy by Bach

  • @rmorecook Beethowen

  • @Mesterse that is 'Ode to Joy' from Beethoven's 9th Symphony, a famous song used elsewhere for 200 years, it has subsequently been adopted by the European Union and the Council of Europe as their anthem.

  • one trumpeter ill health, or he plays badly. as badly that he was standing in front of the stands with the microphones - is very audible(((((

  • He mentions ''Normandie Nieman'' 7:34

  • @Winnie9212 Ile-de-France Military Region Army Band

  • Magnifique !!! Glory the Occident againt the nazi barbary !

  • Only a few seconds of USA on the camera - I understand there was much debate in Russia whether the US should be there -so they cut us short on camera time. Even so, its great to see the US Army there and to have its role [and those of the other US and NATO armed services] recognized for their role in defeatiGermany. And then the incredible closing of the great German tune Ode ot Joy by Back at the end.

  • @rmorecook , have you seen the full version of the parade? US soldiers were on camera as long as other guests.

  • @ImOlga I just timed them -- USA got 13 seconds, Polish got 32 seconds, British got 28 seconds, and French got 28 seconds. They cut us short,. :-) :-)

  • @rmorecook , you're right, I've checked too. So, your soldiers were not so lucky ;)

  • @ImOlga USA got 13 seconds, Polish got 32 seconds, British and French both got 28 seconds.

  • @rmorecook Why did they have a problem with US troops being there? Weren't we allies?

  • KAZAKHSTAN

  • The cold war is just cooled a little , to a high warm one, given the time the allied forces were given in this video.

  • GREAT PARADE

  • Azerbaijan army showed their high class as always!

  • cool parade!!!
