  • for all those wondering, the tune is called 'one time for your mind' by kingsize and notorious j. i think they're the artists anyway. american producers from 1997. pretty rare.

mickey finn is a legend, 97 was different class. what people call jump up today is not jump to me. the 97 era will always be remembered for these MASSIVE jump up anthems, they made dnb what is today :)

  • TOTAL LEGEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • pls what is first song ? :)

  • I've been looking for it for a year, I swear it's unreleased. I'd say it was a Mickey Finn and Aphrodite colaboration.

  • not neseceryly mate sounds a bit formation like

  • You could be right, but I have heard all of Formations 97/98 records, and this track doesnt crop up. I also don't remember SS playing it. The bassline in the second half of the track sounds like Badass, and parts of the bass remind me of Aphrodites 5 On It Dubplate.

  • if u find out what the first song is could u let me know aswell please

  • First piece is Notorious j & Kingsize - one time 4 your mind, second is Pressure roll by Rap! Peace

  • Stevie was a god cos of the many styles - check out 2.34 - always did it quiet - "ram-dance, ram-dance,......" then let rip for another style ..." RAM-DANCE SOUND FROM LONDON - ME NAME STEVIE HYPER - THE LYRICAL BAD MAN....." it just aint right that we only had a few years with that genius !

  • You will never ever ever beat old skool like this

  • u know this

  • rip 2 the dnb king of mcs

  • takes me back, stevie & skibba tearing it, mickey f dropping the big bass and the tnt dancers would often be stored in the old wankbank, good times

  • Stevie Hyper D, was 'ne Legende!

Mit seinem Tod verschwand die komplette Jungle-Ära im Nirgendwo!

Was waren das noch für Styles!!!Schade!

  • best 'rave' mc hyper d, followed by det was wicked too!

  • det is not on the same level, u hardly ever here stevie make a mistake, det makes mistakes all the time n talks shit but gets away with it because of his voice and speed.

hyper d is the rolls royce of rave mc'ing.

he set the standard and no one reached it

  • nuff respect man u said it.

  • You can, Take some Acid...

whack on a Hyper d set...and your off!

Stevie Hyper D << pace setter - king of the (mic) jungle / dnb

    RIP

  • Respect for the upload.

    Bliss memories :-)

  • mc in woz so much better in dem days simple lyrics

  • all you people saying DNB is dead now u CHAT SHITE your just getting to oldd and cant keep up ;-), stil wish i was around for this era

    SICK SET!!

  • hahaha you wasteman from Afghanistan. Modern DnB is fucking pony compared to the mid 90's golden years. Hardly any drum patterns, just a repetitve beat with sounds on top.

  • Fuck off...

    You're just into your JUNGLE...

and now'adays it's prodominantly NOT jungle lol...

There are so many good DnB artists out there, which just piss all over the '90s'...

    Don't even try to argue.

  • well said m8

  • Listen mate, I dont know how old you are, but you have got it totally wrong. You're way off balance with those comments.

    Don't even try to argue.

  • sorry mate, they good but they dont come even close to the old skool.

  • yes bro you know dat!!!

  • i disagree, i love jungle and most dnb these days is very poor but if u hunt out the niche u will realise it's still alive and kicking. the problem is the scene is dominated by jump up crap that is a million miles from what the music once was, this has pushed the real dnb with sick amens to the niche where no one can find it. check out scientific wax radio show.

  • too true man, tis all about listening to the old sets and finding some fresh 'old' tunes - there are so many tunes from 94/97 that werent anthems but still sound sick as now, and would liven up any new dnb set.

  • Clearly, you don't listen to Donny or Tech Itch.

  • whats the tune that starts at about 6 mins anybody know its a classic i been looking for it for years

  • Comment removed
