Yeah, I agree with the others, SLOW DOWN! You will get 10x as many strikes if you work is as you would a spook, no steady retrieves, just let it sit, twitch, twitch, twi-BOOM!
P s your using it wrong try leting it hit the water and doing nothing for 10 seconds then give 3 of the tinniest twitches im talking one inch per twitch. And for a real blast deliberatly cast it over a light twig and keep taping the prop on the water making tiny ripples dont be afraid to get violent either sometimes a crappie or a sunny will hit it 2 .. remember the deader the better trust me ive let people use this next to me like you are and they catch 2 fish to my 10 they cant fig it out
if blades dont spin adjust the treble so they go through each other ive kicked guys asses with only going fishing with this on my line against guys in boats with thousand dollar boxes ... no bullshit this is one of my top 4 best lures ever
if you do a steady twitching retrieve with pauses in between you will get alot more bites. Just dragging it along doesnt leave the bait in the strike zone long enough.
I have a hell of a time getting any distance with a tiny torpedo and my baitcasting reel. I have a better time with my spinning reel, even though it's not optimal for retrieving a prop bait.
love this lure!!! Caught my first topwater bass on it in the middle of the day in blazzig hot weather. it was a 15in. bass probebly 1 lb it was a fat one and i also caught a small 8 in. bass. Somereason crappie and bluegill were coming up to the top of the water and hitting it.Going out again this weekend and trying again to see what hits. Definetly my go to lure! i just love when they hit the lure the adrenaline just rushs through your body

Hehehe I hope soon my luck will turn ... the movie is most about the feeling and sound of spring in sweden ...

@xboxstrike in spring the fish are gonna be suspended therefore not agressive towards topwater

Bought one of these today and caught a bass within 30 minutes in a pond here in the deep south.

do you move it via rod tip or reeling? and do you wait a second or two after a hit b4 setting the hook?
bicycleboy58 3 years ago
no basicly i reel it in and stop then start reeling...but usualy they will hit it when it hits the water so wait about 15 seconds before reeling in

lol - I think your making fun of me! Beautiful area yo are fshing in...where is it?
phileyre 3 years ago
No why should I ? I'll tried today however the last 3-4 days have extremely hot in Sweden and nothing is on the hook or on the "fishradar":(
xboxstrike 3 years ago
you were fishing it too fast....take your time and go really slow. Then post a video of the fish you catch!
phileyre 3 years ago
Oooh I'll try that, thanks for the tip!!!
