  • What's weird is I just saw 85 and 164 yesterday on the Lincoln Service in IL!

  • Here's an expensive idea:

The Pennsylvanian is a multiple-daily train between Pittsburgh and Philly.

The Three Rivers is a daily train between Pittsburgh and NYP.

The Broadway Limited is a thrice-weekly train between Chicago and NYP via Pittsburgh.

  • My uncle took this train from Lewistown to Pittsburgh to go back to Iowa when this ran. I remember waiting for this train with him and my dad at Lewistown at night. Before the train arrived, an eastbound intermodel train passed on the opposite track and I remember when the train passed, the containers shook so loud, it made my heart pound. It was awesome!!!!

  • what a random selection of coaches

  • Nice quality video Derrick

  • Does This Train Still Run?

  • nope, last ran in March 2005

  • ohh i think i see dragging equipment

  • i havent scene those many cars on an amtrak train for a good while at lewistown

  • the train was cancelled march 9, 05, more than 2 months

  • sure enough, I believe you're right. I was thinking that it was discontinued after the fall timetable was superseded (October 31, 2004)

  • Wow, a short Three Rivers!

  • Short because the mail contract had been cancelled.
