@RobSnake Not Metroid 1 definitely (no Super Missiles in Metroid 1) This isn't Metroid 2 because that took place on SR-388 and not Zebes and that is the Brinstar, so this must be Super Metroid.

I like how the dpcm channel does the voice like sounds.

BTW there is the ability to get some SM stuff in M for nes. they have a sprite hack that is more aken to the GB and SM game as well as a mini map mod too.

Yeah, its 3x3 like the Fusion one and is made out of the Energy Tank icon blocks, so their blue.

But that is not bad, the NES music FM chip only have 6 channels. They cannot reproduce more than 6 sounds at the same time. So losing some notes is about that.

And no drum sounds like SMB3 because there are no space left in ROM cartridge to save all that.

Basically, I played the first note louder then reduced the volume in the second to make an echo-like effect.

It can- the NES can use really grainy samples. Think about the drum sounds in Mario 3.. Or play Double Dribble and listen to the guy say it at the title screen. In retrospect it was an awesome little music chip
