I tried to find an sd45 high-hood to custom paint in BN green and just ended up building a nose for my unit. I really like the High-Hood look. It's too bad they didn't sell well because these were really unique.
All but one of my sound systems are Phoenix 2K2 which are no longer in production, they have been replaced with the Phoenix PB9 or the P5. I have one P5 and I am happy with it. I also have 4 MTH locos which come with there own factory sound installed. You may hear these on some of my other videos.
onkly in g scale it sucks! i saw one on ebay the other day goin for 99 cents but like 30 bucks shipping. then the guy closed the bid and put it as like 200 bucks starting bid
Got them, brand new, on ebay. Aristo Craft no longer makes the high hood and says they will never make them again because they did not sell well. I don't think you will see Guilford line made either. Mine are not for sale.
Not sure of overall size, bur I'm trying to make it compact. I presently have 600 feet of track. The mainline curves range from 12.5 to 20 foot diameter. Some sidings have 10 dia curves
Phoenix 2K2 sound system. It is contained in the 100 ton hopper car behind loco. I can reprogram it with sound file for many different engines. Keeps my costs down. I built three of these sound cars
i suggest doing what me and my neighbor do. And get it to go Under the deck by either making certain parts of your deck Plexy glass or just make it run in your house
if I may offer a friendly suggestion, for realism, throw a gp40-2 in the lash up, add some covered hoppers, limestone slurry tankers, csx, railbox, and a few pan am boxcars and coal cars always go in the back. then you got yourself a true new england guilford line up. seriosly though, the layout looks great. I'm jealous!

Very nice track plan - what is the overall size of the payout area? What curve sizes did you use?
