dont feel bad about using formula...I gave myself a guilt trip but now I combo feed (breast, bottle, and baby food) and things are good with her. Remember...moms always know best...at least the good ones do.

CONGRATULATIONS on having a beautiful baby boy! Don't worry about the stretch marks they will disappear mine did after about a year. In fact they disapeared way before the ones I had BEFORE the pregnancy (thank goddness those disappeard too). I did use the stretch mark lotion by Palmers and other lotions occassionally and they still disappeared. I think keeping hydrated and skin moisturized is key.

Aww Congrats to both you & TJ he is so precious! You look great! BTW for stretch marks I would highly recommend Bio Oil. My sister use it post her pregnancy her were worse but it works wonders. I use it on my arms & noticed a MAJOR difference. If you have a Costco card I would suggest getting it there as they give you a large bottle as well as a small one & you apply twice a day. I am in no way, shape or form affiliated with them & know there are a million remedies out there but it works!

Aww my love was born august 26 atm 4:52 pm. He was 7 lbs 1 oz and 19 inches long. good luck hun. Oh yea i am breast feeding and doing formula. the doctor said any amount of milk will do him good.

When I had my son I was worried I wasn't producing any milk. I was but if anyone is worried they're not getting enough, keep them on the breast. Your supply is based on demand. If you supplement with formula, your supply goes down. So just wanted to let others know. BF is hard at first but it becomes second nature eventually. Plus, also check out WIC. They help out sooo much with food for mommy if BF or formula for baby if not.

FYI- I am a postpartum RN. It normally take about a week for milk to come in. If you really want to breast feed, or maybe pump, you should know that the more frequently you feed or pump, the more milk you tend to produce. My patients breastfeed or pump every 2-3 hours!

Awwww he's so cute. just one tip of advice for the nxt baby if you still want to breast feed see a lactation specialist. they have tons of tips and strategies to help you. e.i. drinking guinness beer will help with milk production. but enjoy him. they grow up so fast!

yea i remember at first when you just get them home their is really no scehdule due to the fact that baby has to get use to thr atmosphere of the house, plus get use to his sleeping patterns for like a month or so after that it will be clear when he/she is tired or hungry. I wish my daughter took a pacifier, like a week later she like threw it on the floor and that was that i was like OH NO she will never be quiet then lol. elevate the bassinet it helps them better sleep. worked for me
