I had a blue '72 750 decades ago that i had to 145 mph. Felt great. The bike felt very solid and stable. Curves were no problem. Very little smoke with these as the oil had its own tank and mixed automatically with fuel into the engine. Made a mistake selling it.
Problem with triples are they smoke a lot (2 stroke), dont last like a 4 stroke, and worst of all the K 500 had a not so great suspension and frame setup, which caused wobbles at higher speeds. This is why The 500 triple is known as "the widowmaker".
On the flip side it is smooth, fast, and agile. A good bike, but be careful at higher speeds D:
@calimar28 They did have some frame wobble on the curves, but they weren't that much worse than any of the early 70's bike. Also you can buy a smokeless oil now.
Thats a lovely looking & sounding bike and what a cracking piece of road to blast it along. I didn't want you to stop, just wanted you to keep thrashing the bike past the camera - bought back many happy memories of my biking days in the 1970's
Nice Bike ! I use Polaris VES Synthetic oil in mine which makes no smoke and actually smells good ! I also reduced the front sprocket by 1 tooth to increase acceration. Check out my fly-by and rebuild vids on youtube @ 2wheelmonster. Cheers !
Fucking hell mate showroom condition, beautiful bike you got there, little more work on those u-turns mate will keep you safe, good to see your not stunting it like some idiots, 5's

man I love these old triples! So much personality.. modern bikes are boring and all look the same. I wish they still made bikes like this!
