Only the top end guilds could raid it, and most of them couldn't get past the 4 horsemen because of how hard they hit.
Naxx 40 was one of the hardest raids, not because the mechanics were challenging but because of the gear you had to have. It was a big numbers game, where dps only had 3 buttons.
The game was a grind, nostalgia makes people remember things better than they actually were.

Killing Arthas, Ner'Zhul and the whole Lich King plotline was a huge mistake. At the end of Frozen Throne, they made him out to be the most singular and dangerous entity in the whole Warcraft universe. But in WOW he was killed by Tirion and a bunch of adventurers. He should have been kept for the very last bad guy of WOW's lifetime. I think wow will now end with Kil'Jaden's final invasion of Azeroth and at the very last moment when all hope is lost, Bolvar and his scourge will save the day.
@TxtACRowetxT the real sargeras can tower over planets (look at his official concept art which shows him impaling his massive greatsword, gorrible into a gient red planet, theres no way anyone could beat him. it would be cool if there was an instance where you go inside sargeras' body, kinda like you can go inside c'thun but an entire dungeon where you kill off his heart and his brain cutting off all the fel blood and the pacts between him and his lieutenants.

That title lies with the Old Gods, one of which is responsible for the corruption of Deathwing and who we may see in the final installment of Cataclysm. Warcraft 3 was an amazing game but it did not even scratch the surface of true Warcraft lore. But I do agree they need to give WoW a funeral and move onto other games.
I never considered Arthas a villain, he had to make some tough choices, and was spurned by everyone he loved. Yea, he did become evil near the end, but even then he could of destroyed the world but he was holding back fighting Nerz'Hul's control. When we killed Arthas I was pretty sad.

After battling with adventurers for a certain amount of time, Arthas killed them all with a single spell. And then try to raise them up into champions for the undead. Tirion then prayed to the Light and gave him strength and he broke free of his icy prison and shattered Frostmourne with Ashbringer in a single hit. King Terenas then brez the adventurers and they finish him.

Warcraft 3 was an amazing game but it did not even scratch the surface of true Warcraft lore. But I do agree they need to give WoW a funeral and move onto other games.

I never considered Arthas a villain, he had to make some tough choices, and was spurned by everyone he loved. Yea, he did become evil near the end, but even then he could of destroyed the world but he was holding back fighting Nerz'Hul's control. When we killed Arthas I was pretty sad.

It is how it is in the game. Arthas trapped Tirion in a block of ice in the beginning of the battle. After battling with adventurers for a certain amount of time, Arthas killed them all with a single spell. And then try to raise them up into champions for the undead. Tirion then prayed to the Light and gave him strength and he broke free of his icy prison and shattered Frostmourne with Ashbringer in a single hit. King Terenas then brez the adventurers and they finish him.

Like the top comment said, he's a hero who died twice and gave his two lives to both his two kingdoms. It's not hard to be a badass, but how many of those badass characters had such humble and genuine care for his own people?

lets assume ner'zhul needs a body to gain power, he could use frostmournes power of "speaking" to make an image of King Therenas, telling "there must always be a Lichking" as a ruse to gain a new body.
Bolvar becomes new Lichking, Ner'zhul gains power again and slowly corrupts Bolvar.
--> next scourge incoming?

@MrAkiraxcore Nope. Thrall was important, but he was the main character. I'm starting to wonder if you've even played Warcraft Orcs and Humans to Warcraft III Frrozen Throne. Mainly because in these games, the humans are the main characters. I'm aware of the Orcs in the campaign, but Arthas and the humans obviously had more parts in the campaign. Thrall had the Orc, but Arthas had Human AND Undead. Sorry to say, but Thrall's just like Jaina. They're important, but not that important.
