item 1 is a platform that goes up, 2 is a jetm 3 is a thing that jumps up and down till it clings on a wall, you can then jump on it and it takes you up (or down) and bubble shooter shots bubbles that go along the ground till it hits a wall or something else

Actually you can beat this stage first...Crashman attacks everytime you jump or shoot. Wait till he makes a few step, then follow, Jump and he 'll jump and attack.  Turn and you'll be opposite of eachother, staying a few steps away from eachother. Each time you jump and shoot you'll get a two or three shots in. Hard to explain really but just know it is possible to beat him once you study the pattern.

@soulreaperkyo Mega Man 9 is really hard in fact I rate that as the hardest Megaman game right next to the original game. I always ask the halo freaks if they want a real challenge to play Megaman, of course they all think that since its an 8-bit game its nothing, until they realize that they can't even get by the first level. Games like these require strategy and good timing.

Crash Man's stage is not difficult in the traditional sense; it's just taxing without the wood shield; as pointed out by jonchrisopherhall.

Heat Man's level is the hardest one to beat first.

I do crashman 3rd as well, after air and metal. The metal blades' directional shooting kill those tin can things real quickly like, and it only takes like 2 hits from the air shooter to take out the boss.

- The appearing blocks from heatman's stage are also used in Megamari, and they even make the same sound

You're definetely using cheats. You can only shoot the Metal Blade forward, not diagonally and straight up.

I never used the Metal Blade when I played this game. Not because I wanted to make the game more difficult, but because for some strange reason I never like using draining weapons or items or magic in games unless I have to. I even realised its overpowered nature until this year, when I watched a review of the game! Yikes. MetalMan 2.
