@miamiorlando1 Thanks, miamiorlando1. I met many jerks like Bill back in my production days and thought they'd make great tragic, anti-heroes to satirize. And it worked in this film. Unfortunately, few of them in real life met their just ends, like Bill. They're still free, wreaking havoc on unsuspecting actresses. Well, it doesn't have to be obscured, that's up to the escort. I've seen some films where in the same film some escorts were obscured and some weren't. But I'm not sure I'm following what you're saying exactly... I mean, everything they're doing in this film would've been possible using real escorts given the parameters I described (place an ad, escorts show up, a form is presented, they either sign it or leave).
There have been many documentaries of this kind that did infact use real escorts, prostitutes, pimps, etc. many of which you can see right here on Youtube. the sourcing is always the same: a crew places an ad, the escort shows up, the crew tells them what they're doing, and the escort either signs a consent form and agrees to a certain amount of exposure (obscured face or voice, or no obscured face or voice) and goes along with it, or she gets up and leaves. It's nothing new.
The first 30 minutes are brutal, so much so that I skipped to about 17 minutes where something worth watching begins. The movie falls apart and becomes obviously fake when the biker guy and his horrible acting tear apart the facade of reality that had been carefully built up to that point. After that, it continues to be somewhat entertaining but on a declining plane. In all honesty, had this just been done with real escorts and without acting this would've been big.
Sorry guys. It was a good idea but a total failure.
