If civilians are in the area they are most likely in a concealed and covered position where they are safe. If not, there probably a combatant. Are you that foolish? They are suppressing firing positions. When a target is engaging you your goal is to gain fire superiority to keep them in cover so you can move into position. If civilians are in the area they are most likely in a concealed and covered position where they are safe. If not, there probably a combatant. Of course in close quarters its much easier to tell this difference and prevent fire.
There SOF, they are the best and brightest. They know what there doing.

The goal is to gain fire superiority as to keep the enemies heads down. Like all soldiers they must ID their targets before engaging. Of course you wont see what happens in close quarters because people dont post videos of us lighting up bad guys. As for cats, were more worried about human lives at that point.
