  • this was cool

  • kinda clever directing how this is supposed to be dialouge between mookie and raheem but it seems like a monolouge

  • FIGHT THE POWER

  • How in the hell does this have content from the New York Times? I must be missing something.

  • what kind of shirt is radio wearing? it's awesome

  • This is one of the best scenes. I feel him on this.

  • just checked out NIGHT OF THE HUNTER with Robert Mitchum. He does do a decent job as ww4udavid said. But I think they're unique in their own way.

  • ali cumbaiy

  • He got this from Night Of The Hunter, Robert Mitchum does it better than him though

  • Glad someone got that one besides me.

  • i cant believe how Bill Nunn has aged during those years.

  • Man, Righty's always keeping the Left Hand down :(

  • Sorry it's Charles Laughton's not John Huston's 100 push ups to repent

  • Nice quotation from John Huston masterpiece "Night of the Hunter" Robert Mitchum as the bad guy... Love and Hate

  • powerful

  • damn i love this movie

  • TJ Combo from Killer Instinct

  • Bed Stuy(Bedford -stuyvesant area of brooklyn. always.lived there for many years. G train will take you right to the area

  • Spike Lee reworked it for this movie, and did a masterful job. I guess it's up to me to upload the "Night of the Hunter" version, unless anyone cares to beat me to it. If you do, please let me know.

  • This scene is a parphrase from "The Night of the Hunter," 1955, starring Robert Mitchum: "The story of good and evil? H-A-T-E! It was with this left hand that old brother Cain struck the blow that laid his brother low. L-O-V-E! You see these fingers, dear hearts? These fingers has veins that run straight to the soul of man. The right hand, friends, the hand of love. Now watch, and I'll show you the story of life. Those fingers, dear hearts, is always a-warring and a-tugging, one agin t'other."

  • My favorite scene in this movie.

  • yessss i effin love this part its soooo nice....

  • 4 finger rings r fresh

  • Damn straight...gotta get me some of those!

  • that was deep!

  • Maybe its the bad neighborhood or a rotten childhood but when he got choked I found myself not emotionally attached, since he didnt really help himself to back out of a situation that could be avoided. Wont go on any longer, since it IS a spike lee film after all.

  • its time when we never have the chance to back out of a situation, black men dont have that previlage.,u just dont get it. i belive ignorant is your middle name, this movie is a watered down version of what really happens. im white and understand, nothing goes on in mayberry huh,i wish your soul could be placed in an average blackmans body in your next life time, if its a such thing, trust me, you'd see things different.its not makebelieve

  • im latino are you really white ? so you know that black people have to put up with alot of sh*t right ?

  • I bought this movie on vhs longgg ago and i like it alot but a lot of the characters here are over written, like radio raheem for example. I understand that they needed certain lines and "attitudes" to be expressed in the movie but I felt they could have used another character to play out this scene. I really felt that radio Raheem has no redeeming characteristics for me to really care about him.

  • i think it goes a little deeper than "keeping your cool", dude.

  • lol this guy talking about love and hate? yet hes a stupid 20point IQ guy who cant keep his cool.

  • its a movie dumbass. stupid bitch

  • stupid

  • classic!! RIP RADIO RAHEEM this movie is the shyt

  • did radio raheem really die?

  • yea in the movie

  • yeah, one of the cops choked him out with a baton

  • Spike Lee is the shizznit

  • To bad he died it was pretty sad and it was a good movie

  • great movie

  • wtf? this isnt stupid - its classic. and yes spike lee was ahead of his time. this is one of the best movies in cinematic history, and along with "a clockwork orange," has some of the most perfectly staged, shot+ edited sequences of color cinematography used to the hilt!

  • few movies use color cinematography anywhere near its full cinematic potential like "do the right thing" does. also radio raheem's monologue is an urban, color-film update of robert mitchum's love/hate monologue in "night of the hunter." brillliant! masterfully concieved

  • (sniff).............that was beautiful LMFAO

  • classic...spike was ahead of his time.

  • "static" classic shit, this movie was ahead of its time, spike should got a oscar

  • stupid

  • U stupid
