  • Can u buy the berrie part anywhere because I don't know anyone who grows it.

  • @jackamesandwhich I pick these late summer there all around the midatlantic and east coast never bought them and not sure if possible

  • What time of year is it ready to harvest for drink? And are there any other uses for it?

  • @MrGardenman101 I want to say June or July was when I picket it the fruit wants to be bright velvety and catch before a hard rain as it will wash away the flavor. I am only aware of the drink with it I would imagine other uses and will have to research myself not to steer you wrong.

  • Well done Bro... Excellent video!

  • @BushcraftOnFire Thanks Dave appreciate your feedback

  • well it looked tasty :o) Something I'll never get to try. Keep it natural buddy. Don't add the sugar.

  • @Ggreenvideos sugar is natural...

  • Very interesting. Plant identification is fun. I don't know much about it so this was fun to watch.

  • @Cr0cket20 Ya I am still learning I need to take my wild harvest book out more on day hikes and learn some more thanks for watching and commenting

  • hmm looks interesting. Thanks for sharing Jim.

  • @hinckleypoland Welcome my friend stay safe

  • Good vid ... and one of my favorite natural drinks. Love the stuff myself!

  • @RallohE Ya It was a learning curve for me but I like it

  • @medicjimr I usually don't crush it more than push it in the water and let it seep for about 3 hours ... that works about right for me. Never sweeten it but some folks prefer it a bit sweet.

  • @RallohE Ok I will try that next time also I will harvest it next when we have a few days of a dry spell too so the flavor hasn't been washed off by the rain

  • Good video Jim, thanks for posting.

  • @jolietjake1970 thanks Jake

  • Anyone who saw my previous comment i appologize for it. it was just meant to be a teasing joke. not to be taken seriously. Jim is a good friend and a great stand up guy.

  • @FixedByDoc Chill pecker head it's all good

  • looks good Jim...very interesting...thanks!

  • @bushcraftbartons Thanks Mike I like to try things out when I am confident it's what it's supposed to be

  • Excellent, it's good to see someone go through the process and try it. I meant to tell you that the ones I saw up in NY were ripe last weekend. The ones near me did not produce this year.

  • @Ghostkamo after it chilled in fridge and I added a cup of sugar to the batch it's really good Now I was surprised though it's a darker tea color compared to a pink like I seen on another video by eat the weeds The ones like you showed are just starting to ripen around here there not as common though as the stag horn I will eventually give them a try.

  • My best to you as well JC hope life is treating you well and that the tropical storm Bonnie doesn't bring you and yours harm

  • Jim fine video and info, also fine demo.

    thanks Jim and my best,+++JC
