Like most indie movies, it's about "nothing" or "everything", if you're feeling hippie enough, but I liked the randomness of it all. The acting is great overall, and the themes are pretty profound. It was like 100 minutes or so, but it blew by extremely fast.
love this movie. i had the privilege to work at a movie theater that showed it. i watched it a few times on slow shifts. the guy who makes/steals the cattitude cup is so great.
People think this movie is pretentious just due to the weird art that the girl does in the beginning. What they don't understand is that the art she does is a joke.
I first saw this movie on...I think it was HBO or one of those channels. I'll never forget the first time I saw it. It's still one of my favorite movies of all time.
i saw this in the theater and i also have the dvd. i can't think of too many movies i have absolutely needed to see, but this is definitely one of them. very enjoyable! the opening scene with him lighting his hand on fire is the best, and even better when he explains it later.
I saw this film in 2006 and I don't know why but it became my favorite film of all time. I can never really put my finger on the reason why I like it so much. It was just really honest and I don't know, it just speaks to me.
I have another one you may have missed. It's like a piece of art like this one, where soundtrack, storyline and character, ties up to beautiful Painting/Stage play collaboration. With some non-equivalence thought.

BDW...Small kid with curly hair was truly energetic and a treasure to this movie.
so basically, i watched the trailer 18 minutes after you commented this. and got sucked in, i loved the music. with about 30 minutes of research, i came to find that the song ISNT even on the soundtrack. long story short. the song's..
great movie
the casting is brilliant
