  • The only problem with the new Hulk is that they made him WEAK AS FUCK. On the last one he grabbed a Tank and threw it Like a fucking Frizbee. But on this one, he struggled to even lift a Army Tank. Good Movie, But if your gona Make this film Have INCREDIBLE in the Name of it, atleast make him strong as fuck man.

  • THE FIRST HULK HAD A BETTER STORY.

  • @degree7 lol I liked the other years ago at first but it had quite a bit of talk and not enough action and at the end the fight with him and his father didn't make much sense. Sure, the 2008 one didn't regenerate like in the 2003 one but perhaps by the time the Avenger movie comes out, they'll take notice on the one, along with other things Hulk can do like in the comics. But, no, the 2008 was much better and closer to the comic and payed some homage to the TV series, which I liked:)

  • I got this movie for 4 dollars =] at walgreens Great Deal!

  • Hulk 2003 is the best movie. I didn't like The Incredible Hulk, because Bruce Benner is small, he doesn't look like Hulk, Incredible Hulk doesn't regenerate quickly and he annoyingly shouts all the time. So Hulk 2003 is the best.

  • I thought the 2003 version was a lot more interesting, to say the least.

And let's be honest here, even Ang Lee's worst outing as a director trumps anything this Leterrier chap could make.

  • @degree7

Btw, the special effects looked like crap here.

Does anyone really think that this film can measure up to the wizadry of Industrial Light and Magic?

  • 3 Stars, my ass, AWSOMECARTOON99!!!

shame on you!!! you should get knocked over the head by frying pan and kicked dead in the balls for such bullshit ratings for this movie.

It's like floresed said, "The Incredible Hulk rules!!!!!!!!"

    5 STARS, hands down!!!!

  • Perspective91, what do you mean "It could be better"?!!! It was an amazing movie and believe it or not, was ranked as #1 movie in the world. I saw the tv last years tv reviews. I know what I heard. I waited for it to be shown again, just to see if I'm hearing correctly. And it said it. I know what I heard!!!!! And again, unlike Ang lee's version, this one became a hit and I had a good time seeing it in the theaters:)

  • i think the new one was great. he didnt look as real as the first hulk tho.

  • I realy liked this film a lot.

It was way better then Ang Lee's hulk.

The Hulk in this film fights the abomination which is cool. The Hulk in the last film had a fight with a poddle.

No more needs to be said apart from that this Movie was very entertaining and much better then the last film.

  • I think both films had the same amount of mistakes, but this one seemed more right to what Hulk should be like. It could get better though.

  • three stars

  • The Incredible Hulk is way better than 2003 film!!!!

  • AMEN TO THAT!

  • i think this is a solid rock fist for me i've never really agreed with eric on these reviews i'm more with jd half the time. jd for the sake of all scene stealers fans come back eric is sucking without u bro

  • Ang Lee's movie sucked!!! The Incredible Hulk was and is the best!!

  • Not to forget, he's GREEN.

  • Hey, SceneStealers. Just wondering... have you ever seen a 10 feet tall human with big muscles like that? If not, it would explain why the Hulk doesn't have many human traits.

  • I agree that the new movies of the Incredible Hulk lack a human element and charm that the older late 70s TV series displayed so nicely. The new movies, no matter how you look at it, always portray green computer animated monster bustling around vs. a real person busting out and becomming this huge, unimaginable monster like the older TV series so nicely showed.

  • This movie incredible hulk is excellent, was disappointed rick jones was not in this. the big shock was (possible spoiler) tony stark visiting thunderbolt roos in a bar. brilliant

  • Is The Leader going to be the main villain in the next movie "The Avengers". And is it going to have Captain America?!

  • mochitsukiman - you don't get along with others too well do you dude? What is up with that???

  • c g i isn`t suposed to look realistic and besides it looks good

  • I liked the end of the first hulk battle because it was a like an acid trip. The new hulk is way better though but Liv Tyler better than Jennifer Connelly? I dont think so...

  • whoever says that they liked the first hulk movie better probably enjoys being bored to death. the first one was BORING as hell!!! ask around people! that movie was hated by every hulk fan and critics were bored to death! this new one kick ass! seriously, you people that prefer the first one needs to get their heads examined and know what the word "action" is

  • I think it's that some people like "action" (a word with which I'm unfamiliar, clearly) in films to be surrounded by credible, interesting characters and some semblance of substance.

  • Ang lee's hulk was incredible....that new one sucks...Liv Tyler better than Connelly??????wtf?????...jeez...Ed Norton better than Eric Bana, NO WAY!

  • fuck you mochitsukiman

  • oh please edward norton could act better than you please don't be hating on edward you ain't no actor soooo.... yeah disrespecting someone is greater and better than means your hating. sukiman

  • fuck yourself bitch with a big-black-nigga-dick in your ass filled with herpes and AIDS.

  • ummmmm.......... no.......... how bout you?

  • Lol, mochit, In my opinion you've got it all wrong... Except for Liv tyler and connelly, but Ed norton was AWESOME as hulk, way better than bana, and When you go see a movie like hulk, you expect kickass action seen, Ang lee's hulk didn't deliver, The new one is much much much better

  • go fuck yourself mochitsukiman the new hulk is good and better the old one sucks.

  • yeah...sure.

  • this new one sucks indeed...the CGI is the cheesiest I've ever seen after Star Wars and it doesn't work at all. Who's movie is this?

    Leterrier...wtf?

fuck yourself moron...or better fuck yourself with a big black-mandingo-dick.

  • mochitsukiman likes to drink his own urine!!!!

    The Increible Hulk rules!!!!!!!!

  • I agree. The scenario of the last Hulk is so simplist. Just "deja vu" and special effects nothing artistic or inventive

  • actually his proper name is...

    Robert Bruce Banner.

But in the tv show he used various names besides David...

    good review though.

  • Bana had more hidden anger that rose to the surface and exploded. Norton (much as I like him) is STILL too boy-ish. Connelly - far better than the emotionless Tyler.

  • i am not sure if i really loved this movie. i was expecting it to be a fantastic film since it got so much hipe but i came out slitley dissapointed. i thought the cgi was fantastic and the final battle was cool but the plot wasn't the best and some of the lines were kindda cheesey. for instence, if they only have 40 bucks how do they afford a car and a boat? sopme of the lines were cheesey to but beside this, it was an ok movie. siked for batman. that should be good.

  • I agree with you on everything great comments and great review scene stealers

  • they payed him for a ride on the boat

  • 1Lock- appreciate the comments, thanks!

1- We know that, but you can't deny that in its very set-up, the fugitive aspect of the Hulk was similar to the TV show, and therefore worth discussing. 2- It DID open doors to lots of possible storylines from the comics, you are right.

  • Ok guys, things to keep in mind.1- This was meant to be based on the comics story, the thing about the tv show was merely a tribute,2-It was a fantstic movie due to the facts that it opened quite a few doors for the future hulk story: the Leader, Supersoldier project, abomination itself, no to mention mr stark at the end i mean come on.

3-On the name thing, it has always been Bruce, yet on the TV show used David cause the prod thought Bruce was gay (4real, no sexist joke)Do ur homwork.

  • 3-Hom(e)work done. We know the name was different in the TV show. Listen closely to what we said; we were referring to the fact that in the movie, "Bruce" was slipped in there cleverly and we were discussing where that was in the film. We've seen the show. Didn't know they thought "Bruce" was too gay. Good tidbit, and ironic, this coming from the same decade that spawned the Village People and Burt Reynolds' mustache!

  • I Think Jennifer Connely was much apropprietade to This Movie.

  • wow, an extremly weak review here.

  • how was it weak?

  • Just the way you two came off from the start. It seemed as if one of you really liked the movie and the other did not yet in the end you both didnt think it was all that great. Fanboyism aside the movie is very well made and a major improvement over ang lee's version. I believe the movie simply deserves more credit than you gave it.

  • yeah, its impossible to review it w/o comparison to the old one, which I liked and JD hated. But we both agree, this one was a decent version. Its funny how we come off depending on where that very short on-camera conversation takes us, but we know what rating we're going to give it before we start. What is always different is how we'l react to what the other person says. thanks for clarifying!

    -Eric

  • my name is Shaky Himziar.

    i like fibe uglings.

    i collect rare oil jars

  • w8 was there a new guy playin hilk in this one cus the hole thing a bought the last one SUCKED so this one should bw ok

  • Bruce Banner is the original name for the comic books, director Kenneth Johnson wanted to call David instead of Bruce for the tv series. I don't know, probably is a catchy name: David Banner!:P

  • Question: are you two lovers? It seems like it. Perhaps that clouds your perception because you guys aren't very good at this. I assume neither of you actually ever read any Hulk comics. THAT is the basis for the movie, with a "tip of the hat" to the TV show. This was a great movie, for the genre. Marvel wanted to erase Lee's version and set up the Avengers film in 2011, and this did it. The box office receipts speak volumes over your weak review, but thanks for the review anyway.

  • I've heard some lame criticisms before, but they usually just come right out and call us "fags." Are we lovers? Are you serious? You may think our review was weak, but that's a pretty weak way of doing it.

  • sorry. bad joke. I didn't really think that at all. I just disagreed with your review. I'll leave out the crappy jokes next time. Once again, I apologize.

  • Was hulk made by the commies?

I mean was it legal to show on tv a superman taking down the american army?

  • nice

  • Ok...I think this was a good review and it was the first one I have seen of you guys. But first off which ever one of you liked the last hulk movie more needs to dig a hole and die in it. I also can't believe you guys bitched about how the hulk looked, it was perfect so I don't see why you guys need to complain about that.

  • Ang Lee's Hulk was a heck of a lot better than this one.

It depends on what version of the Hulk you like better.

If you're more into the TV Hulk, you'll like this movie.

Comic Hulk (like me), then maybe the first movie.

Either way, that final fight with the Abomination was a little disappointing. It was over way too quick.

They only called the TV show guy David cause they thought that Bruce wasn't manly enough. (Bruce Lee, notwithstanding).

  • great comments, sandman. so when did they use "David Banner" in this movie? did u catch it? JD said it was in there maybe on a passport or something...

    -Eric

  • At the end of the movie when Bruce has gone off on his own again. Bruce or Betty (I can't remember which one, I think maybe Bruce) is sitting next to a desk with an envolope on it. The name on the envelope is an alias, David Banner.

(Mind you, my memory gets foggy after 24 hours. So feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.)

  • But, can you see the prospect of many of these character being in an Avengers movie. I really think they're going to market familiar and already franchise tested characters. I myself have no problem with spidey not being in the movie. I know he wasn't in the classic Avengers. Any ideas who they decide to incorporate into the new movie?

  • iron man, hulk, captain america, thor is what i've heard...

  • Actually Ang Lee took his stuff from the comics. Brian Banner was an abusive Dad and he did kill his wife. Brian did not experiment on his son but did blame his wife for the son being a mutant. The dogs and the growing Hulk also came from the comic. This new Hulk movie was excellent it did blend tv and the comic much better. It also took the better ideas from the comic book. Which was one problem with the first Hulk.

  • great comments! Good insight. Maybe an amalgamation of the two would be the perfect Hulk movie...

  • I cannot wait for the prospect of an Avengers movie. Honestly, with all the talk of the 'Iron Man' movie and this new 'Hulk' movie, i thought they'd try to somehow intertwine the thought of an Avengers team with Spiderman 3. Just check wikipedia for all the details on the Avengers team, Marvel are pretty smart for trying this. Imagine the amount of merchandise they could market from an Avengers movie. I'm pretty sure there's a new Avengers cartoon about the Avengers children, correct me please.

  • They are going for classic Original Avengers. Not New Avengers which would make no sense. What would be new about them? Classic Avengers did not include Spidey. But it did include:Thor, Captain America, Giant Man, Ant Man,and Hawkeye as well as Hulk and Iron-Man. Later classic Avengers were Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, The Vision, and Wonderman. Both Wonderman and Vision started out as villains.

  • Forgot to mention another later Avenger was Black Panther

  • but in the end of the movie did the guy from iron man come out was that him if it was what does that meen and what did he meen about making a team

  • Along with the Hulk, they will form the Avengers. Marvel is preparing for a movie that features many new potential franchises all rolled together...

  • "Along with the Hulk, they will form the Avengers. Marvel is preparing for a movie that features many new potential franchises all rolled together."

Wrong, theyre making the team in spite of the hulk, "GENERAL, I HERE TYOU HaVE A PROBLEM.... IM MAKING A TEAM.." hes making a team to solve the generals problem i.e. the hulk. in the comics it was to stop the hulk that the avengers were originally assembled. i believe ironmanm, antman, and others arrived at a scene of a hulk outbreaks.

  • very correct, sir-- but doesn't he also eventually become part of the team. Also, what are they gonna do about "antman"? That's not gonna fly these days...

  • I would love to see an "Antman" movie. It would be more of a comedy then anything I figure, but they can go the Giant Man way too.

  • What about Spider-Man?

  • Read about The Avengers on Wiki. :)

  • I saw Incredible Hulk last Saturday. I kind of like the CGI's. The final fight was indeed incredible. Actually, the CGI's really worked. The thing that kind of slightly disappoint me was that this movie failed to portray the emotions and relationship between the Hulk and Betty. Maybe because they? short changed it for the action scenes? I don't understand because Norton and Tyler are very good actors and they are my favorites.

  • The 2003 one sucked hippo balls

  • Oh God...................I can't believe that. Ang Lee made that whole story up about Bruce and his father to make it more interesting for him??? No wonder it sucked.

And damnr giht it made that movie suck. That was a terribel sotry line. how could he not follow the Hulk's true story lines? Because it was interesting in this new movie!

    FUCK YOU ANG.

  • this movie was way better than 2003... they took the story from tales to astonish #90-91 and reworked it

  • You're an idiot.

  • Are you kidding me? 2003 Hulk took a chunk out of a vehicle, tossed it at a helicopter and they dodged it, then he runs away. The Hulk was a wimp. Oh, and if you really, REALLY want to argue. I have the ultimate debate ender right here for you, so you STFU before you begin: "Radioactive Poodles". Enjoy.

  • other way round.

  • wtf is up with people and the old hulk movie that was good wtf

  • Hulk is a better FILM, Incredible Hulk is a better BLOCKBUSTER. There, settled?

  • wait wats the differnce between film and blockbuster

  • Blockbusters are big-budget action movies with nothing much to think about and are exclusively made for the cinema.

Films are works of art that are more inclined to deal with different characters, relationships, imagery, themes, metaphors, symbols, etc.

  • oh ok thnx.

  • Same. I agree with you 100%

  • the movie was pretty sweet enjoyed it and i like the ending alot and i mean alot

  • Nice review, guys. It certainly sounds a whole lot better than the last Hulk film, and chances are, I'll be seein' it sometime this weekend.

  • i think the end was the best part cough cough iron man pwns!

  • I have to disagree about the comment concerning the lack of levity in the movie. We're dealing with a character who is fighting to control a violent embodiment of anger. I fail to see how campy comedy would really add anything to this story. Bay's movie about those giant robots had forced humor and it sucked.

  • hulk gets a reboot? WTF! give the fuckin money to homeless people!

  • Scene Stealers cracks me up, N1!

  • I am seeing the 2:30 showing today!

  • why everyone keep saying that the old hulk movie isn't good, i thought it's a good movie, i enjoyed it

  • Storyline-wise, it was very interesting. The fight scenes were pretty good too, especially when he threw the tank! For this new hulk movie, i think that they tried to retain to the comics, by also making an original story. There are tons of hulk comics where he goes against Abomination, each with its own story.

  • i agree he did alot more awesome feats in 2003 then 2008.. hulk of 2008 barley did shit..

  • i cant say anything about that, lol. i didnt see it yet. I am a sucker for Hulk vs. Abomination stories, though. Their fights are amazing! But they're usually backed by a good story behind it though. Not the typical hero against his/her arch nemesis thing.

  • Another great review, but I was hoping to hear a little more about Norton's performance. Does he satisfy the material as well as Downey did Iron Man or is he merely adequate in the role?

  • He's good, but doesn't have a lot to do. He doesn't have time to OWN it the way Downey Jr did.

  • That sucks, maybe one day Norton's Cut will surface and we can see him have a little more development. Thanks for the quick reply.

  • Screw the tv show. How true is it to the comics?

  • True, if it's closer to the TV show than the comics, isnt a GOOD thing.

  • i would give the old hulk film a 4/10 i would have given it a 2 and a half but the special effects where good but i hope this film better

  • I thought the last film was decent but hopfully this film will be better now that i have seen your review. although I am really looking forward to the dark knight a lot more than this. great reviews guys its always interesting a review when you two share different opinions

  • Just an ASSHAIR!!! Funny stuff

  • I can respect the review, however, I think people are expecting too much... I mean, would you really have been happy seeing a bodybuider in the role of the Hulk instead of CGI? It's called "suspension of disbelief" and I though they did a really good job. Also, remember, Edward Norton wanted a deeper, darker, more character driven movie, so if the movie doesn't have that = BLAME MARVEL!!!

  • an ashair.LOL!!!!!

  • nice review and by an asshair u say? lmao

  • Yeh i didn't like the last film, this film does look pretty cool, but as u've guys said a minor rock fist up im gonna go and see it for definate.

    Thx guys

  • you guys need your own t.v. show; great stuff. also, were you two going to review "the happening" as well?

  • I'll have a print review for it tomorrow on our website, but JD didn't get to see it so we couldn't do an on-camera review. Here's a summary: It's a desperate movie.

    -Eric
