i just built a system using a 965 black edition. i'm wondering which vid card to put in it? right now i can get a radeon HD 5770 for about $120. i'm leaning toward that over any nvidia's in the price range. if i had more $ i would probably spring for a 58XX card, but alas, no cash.

PS - i've seen reviews saying the 5770 is somewhere between the 4850-4870 line. i just wanted any anecdotal evidence from someone

@pwnttothemax I had the 5750 and it ran any game I had on high to max. Starcraft 2 on ultra at ~60fps

Hey can you please answer. I want to buy the AMD 965 Black Edition and the Zalman 9500A 2Ball CPU cooler but i heard that the CPU Cooler doesnt work with the processor out of the box it requires additional brackets or something. Can you please clear this up for me? Thank You

@garden772 Don't worry about it. You won't need anything extra. Everything you need will be in the box. You will see when you go to install it that you don't need to do anything but use one piece that comes with the cooler to install it on the mobo. You can just use the stock bracket on your mobo to install. Thats what I did.

@jayquan15ify What is your system specs? And how much are you willing to spend. The HD 4890 is powerful but doesn't support DX11 so on the low end DX 11 upgrade you could get a HD 5770. If you have a lot of money to spend you could get the HD 5850 or HD 5870. I am trying to save up enough money for the HD 5870. That graphic card is about $400. And you should buy it on newegg.com thats where I get all of my parts.
