He does a fair job of completely skirting the question; the entire country hated that bill, both on the right and the left. It's completely sunk his chances, if he had any before.

McCain understands that politics is about compromise and being practical. Too many people want it my way or the highway. Gingrich has so much baggage, and he probably thinks that we don't remember.

Maybe a "triple" burden, if you count how many people (not me) who took exception to the remarks he made on the Iraq War. McCain must have been out of his mind to co-sponsor the unnecessary, and illogical S.1348. Pistol must still be warm from shooting himself in the foot.
