  • Do mormons reading this realize that outsiders hear it as a hateful, bigoted diatribe from 1950 -- mixed in with the stuff about runing the church?

You guys spend millions on PR after Packer gave this speech on Oct 2, 2010 (not April), the week after a rash of Gay teen suicides. It was taken by outsiders as mean, mocking of the dead, and redoubling his 40 year effort to keep Gays in the role of sinners who must be scorned unless they change.

  • I love this man.

  • Wonderful disciple of our Savior. His words constantly change my life and help me to be a better follower of Christ. Thank you!

  • @biblioarbitrage He is a great man, but more importantly we should listen and focus on what he is sharing in this talk. The Priesthood is growing in numbers, now we need to grow in our ability to serve those we come in contact with.

  • I believe that the new Duty to God program will help the rising generation of Priesthood holders serve with more power.

  • A good talk about the importance of being worthy to receive and use the blessings of the priesthood, whether male or female.

  • @gradgurl2007 Good point. Without a realization of the fact that men and women hold the priesthood independently of each other there will not be any firm fixing of the priesthood in the families, no distribution of power and no unlocking of the power of the priesthood till it is fully realized in the mind of each brother and sister that authority does not equal power!

  • Amazing talk. One of the best calls to repentance ever given.

  • great person

  • Love it. Thanks for the Inspiring words!
