The turrets are on stadby, which means the laser is pointing straight, adn its guns are retracted. If you encounter a sentry gun that is on standby, it takes 1~2 seconds to open its gun covers and aim, shoot, so it is legit.

If there was godmod, you wouldn't see the red blips. The average turret takes about 7 to 15 shots to kill you. I only saw 10 tops.

i think when he sped around that corner he was propelled by the bullets because i get pissed off by the damn bullets pushing me sometimes... so was not really using air control.

Do you actually see him getting shot at when doing the first corners? No, because he doesn't get shot. He has air control while jumping around corners which is NOT a feature of the game. Look at other runs from this map, you will clearly see that the door opens at 00:21 and NOT earlier like in this video. Further more, you simply cannot take that many shots without dying.

Please try it yourself, and you'll see.

it's a speedrun.. how is air control illegal? Bunnyhopping has been apart of halflife for a long time. And I've done this run piece by piece and you can take that many hits without dying, it's impressive that he can do it in 1 take though.

Bogus run, you're already out the door at 0:20 when anyone can easily verify the door opens at 0:22. This casts quite a bit of doubt on the rest of it, such as you running through the whole place without dying. :P

TEST IT YOURSELF, DAMMIT:

when map just started and you are in that CLOSED elevator, do this:

1)save the game right BEFORE the door opens

2)loadgame holding down W and just jump to the next door as fast as you can

3)wait till 18-19 seconds and save the game again

4)then load it and you'll see that door opens at 19-21

I hardly see this as a valid run. You take a shitload of bullets without dying and you do some sort of air movement thing. You actually start off earlier than possible, according to my testing the doors open at EXACTLY 21 seconds, and you where already in the run by then.

OMG YES!!! The fact that the timer in the video starts at 21 seconds clearly can have nothing to do with the waiting time being cut out! And besides the turrets take a while to activate, and he is moving really fast, so I think it's valid.

If you actually try the map yourself you will se that the doors will open at exactly 21 seconds. And air control is _not_ a feature.

aha. i see what the problem is. there is a trigger that starts glados' speach, which prompts the door to open. people claiming that the doors open after 20 seconds aren't getting out of the elevator fast enough to hit the trigger. you can stand in the elevator until 20 seconds, but the doors won't open until 40. get it? not hard.

turrets tend to have trouble locking on initially if you're bunnyhopping. Similar to TFC with sentries not able to lock on as quickly.
