@IceDarkBlueDragon I would not recommend using less sugar. It will not set up right and will be watery. As for fresh fruit I have never tried. If you try let me know how it works!
It's easier to just make a batch of sugar water and have it prepared, then add your flavor... This first step of pouring the sugar in first seems backward to me.
@RAELENE83 The reason you make your own is that you use real sugar instead of the corn syrup which gives you better flavor then they use at the store. Plus you can make alot more different flavors then you can find at the store. But you are correct it is much easier to just buy at the store.
@captainturo To make a quart (32oz) of syrup you need 1oz of concentrate, to make a (16oz) bottle a pint is 1/2oz of concentrate. So you are correct you will need 4 oz's of concentrate to make a gallon (128oz).
sure put a lot of sugar in it sooner you will realized you are diabetic for eating too much sugar...your blood sugar will gone up and you will have a serious problem on ur health lol.possibly u will have kidney failue or heart disease and end up for a long time in a hospital lol.
Now, does the 2 different kinds taste better than each other???? I mean like the 2 different ways u made it, does one way make it taste better or is it the same???
you could just poke a hole in the middle of the water bottle cap and then poor on your snow cone

@FLAVORSTORE ..... so the amount of concentrate does not matter in order to make more syrup its just the water and the sugar that make the difference?
if i were to make a gallon of syrup wouldnt i need 4oz of concentrate?
captainturo 1 year ago

Sugar :
pint 16oz = 1 1/2 cups
quart 32oz = 3 cups
gallon 128oz = 5 lb bag
