This song was played at my grandfather's funeral. This was one of my grandfather's favourite songs, my Grandfather was a larrikin, but his heart was for his family. I miss you Pa
This song was played at my Grandfather's funeral. He loved this song, I never knew about it, but I have a newfound respect for this song as does my brother because everytime we hear it we tell each other "this is Pa's song". My 9 year old daughter has even grown to respect this song, because it was her big Pa that loved it. We miss you Pa and we love you, more than ever.
Some of my earliest memories, when I was 4 or 5, are of my Grandfather with his hat on sideways singing this song while my father accompanied him on guitar. Everyone laughed their heads off, uncles, aunties, grandmother. They did a few Chad numbers. I'm 30 now, and not everyone is with us anymore, but good memories!
I used 2 listen this, when I was stoned & picking apples down at batlow, in the snowys, back in 1982-83,we were falling off the fucking ladders back then listen 2 this, what a classic AUSSIE Chad is. LMFAO
This song reminds me of a dinner that my father put on for his bosses. He set up an outdoor BBQ, dressed up like a hill billy and played this song. It was a huge hit
