@NHLArchive Winnick does not even have the opportunity to play the puck ,and should have been given a minor penalty under rule56:interference - A minor penalty shall be imposed on a player who interferes with or impedes the progress of an opponent who is not in possession of the puck.Winnick DID NOT have possession of the puck,therefore a penalty should have been applied.
@racerwes1 he did have an opportunity to grab the puck, and he saw barch coming so he didn't expose himself to a huge check. This play has nothing to do with whether winnik actually touches it or not.
That skate almost caught him in the face. :$ I like Barch. I like his style and what he does. He sure seems to like being with Dallas and I dig that ,too
Do any of you realize this should be an interference penalty because Winnick did not touch the puck?
