Storm Virtual Energy Bowling Ball Reaction Video

@bowlingballcom I bought a Storm Nano Pearl last week and strangely enough I couldn't get much of a reaction out of it.The man who runs the proshop said he talked to Storm and they'll let me exchange it for something else.I love my Hyroad,just need something for heavier oil/more carrydown.I saw that this ball is for heavy oil,would this ball give me a similar reaction to my Hyroad?

@crimsontide1980 this ball hass the same coverstock as the hy- road. I own a hy- road and use a virtual graity to go with it but this ball will be a little longer but still have the same hitting power as a virtual gracity so either of those 2 would be great

i know lots of people that bowl similar to john congdon. if he leaves then they cant be sure if that ball is right for them. dont leave there are just some people who like to throw the ball as hard as they can and put a ton of revs expecting to bowl good and therefore the only way to bowl good.

Sounds like a lot of angle. I had the same problem. I just moved right and speed the ball up a little and it took care of it.

I just got this ball and im in love! Thing hits like a truck. Coming from my really really old hammer i was just in awe watching this ball tear up the lanes. With this bal id miss my mark a little and just turn away frustrated only to look back and see a nasty recovery back to the pocket. For sure clears up any doubts i could have had in my purchase.

lol, it really does hit like a truck....i converted a 7-10 using it. i went for the 7 pin and the ball twisted it to pieces and flung it into the 10th pin, i was shocked because i only threw it at about 13 mph. i think imma get Ford tough engraved in mine lol.

Well it also depends on the amount of revs and your ball speed... Because if you say the widow line doesnt grip i think you throw too little revs for your speed...

Not meaning you should pump out revs like tommy jones or so. But tell me your revs (if you dont exactly know just compare yourself to norm duke) and tell me your ball speed.

But in any case the VG will definitely grip the lane :P

This ball is perfect for the lane conditions I play!

Threw 612 (3 games) right out of the box on the same saturday, with my current league average of 161. Yesterday I threw 635 with a 277 game, had 8 spare in 8th frame and single 10 pin in last one.

I just love the backend. Doesn't do anything if you don't put much revs on it, but give it some fingers and let it smash into the pins.

I've thrown a friends with a very similar layout and I'll have to admitt it moves a lot like my VG (2000 polished), VE has just a little more pop. Throwing my new Reign I found a very similar midlane with a much high entry angle. I still favor the contol of the Virtual series more though. As always, nice video.

I would also recommend the virtual gravity. It has the same great core as the virtual energy, but has a very good coverstock that will react, and retain its energy and carry through the pins. I am also a low rev, low speed player and I have both of them. The virtual gravity was a huge game changer for me. It reads the oil all the way down the lane and through the pin deck. It hits hard, and the coverstock can also be adjusted easily to fine tune it to your personal game.

I recently dropped down to 15lbs and was affraid my pin carry wouldnt be as good with the weight change. I bought this ball at 15 and its not a rediculous hook like the virtual gravity, but you won't find another pearl to turn the corner off the dry as hard as this one...except for maybe the reign!!! i actually just dropped to a 15.3, which isn't much from 16lbs...my speed is up almost from 16 mph with a 16lb. ball to 17.5-18 mph and the pin action hasn't been much different, just makes the stress on the wrist non-existant now!

Yea, I have this ball to and it will disappoint you if your expecting a monster that will be aggressive, or something that will just snap and destroy the pocket. This ball is made to slide and hook, its not going to hook a lot, primarily because its a medium oil ball. If you put this ball on a drier pattern, you could not ask for better, but a fresh house shot, the ball won't do much as far as hook potential.

last month i bought a virtual energy, put the pin above the right finger and kicked the cg out. pretty strong drilling. im super dissapointed. mine wasnt strong at all. my fast with the same drilling is a good five boards stronger than the virtual. plus it retains more and hits harder. a few friends have the virtual also and say theres is a monster. maybe i just got a bad one. o well

That was not "Dead Pocket". Just watch where the ball drops and exits into the pit. The ball ends up just left of the 10 pin. This is because of the light hit.

It's only light by a half a board, but that is all it takes to end up with a result like that.

it depends... the cell, cell pearl, gravity shift, virtual gravity, dimension, 2nd dimension, and virtual energy. storm and roto grip (roto grip is run thru storm) r without a doubt the best ball production companies right now... all of these ball have enormous hook potential with a lot a back-end power... and, depending on what cover u prefer, there are both glossy and dull finish balls in that list

I didn't really notice the surface of his pearl really, the way it looked by the lights probably made it look like its original out of the box surface, but he averaged 269 the whole series and I don't care if the oil pattern was the same he took down some of the best bowlers and his for is effortless

u and me have about the same rev rate and speed im about 15-16mph with 200 revs i can go higher cause i've learned how to so im probably 250-275 at best but the backend i get from storm love it. pearl balls r meant for length and backend unless ur wes malott who makes a pearl ball look like a solid it doesnt matter but storm and roto going strong this year

if you want tho the virtual on a house shot gives u a lot of room for error but if you dont want a ball that snaps too early the energy is the best

The VG cuts through the oil very easily but erratic backend. The energy gives you length and a very strong backend think of it as a stronger hyroad but with the VG strength Hammer starts out strong but dies fast, I throw storm and Love all my balls from them once you throw storm you want to throw their equipment forever

i throw and love both hammer and storm, but one thing i have noticed is that hammer's dont quit. my black widow solid is 3 years old, main ball until half a year ago when i got on some lighter patterns because my house changed shot. storm is close to hammer but they hit so much harder that u gotta take speed off them or else they will hit to hard and leave corners all day. i love their stuff tho just got my energy punched and its a BEAST

virtual energy, ive thrown them both and i recomend the energy because its more predictable in my experience. im not a high rev player either about normal 180-200 revs 16mph stroker. i dont recomend the hot sauce pearl because its not that strong in oil.

Wow those are really hard to choose from. Really it depends on how you throw the ball. Personally I have a Virtual Gravity and I love it because it is easy to read and so is the Virtual Energy. So if you are looking to get something reads a little bit earlier then get the Virtual Gravity. However if you want it to read a little later and save all of the energy to the backends, then get the Virtual Energy.

Obviously you CAN'T control it. If you could control it, it would not be going light. I don't know how many times I can say that. If it's hitting light, you have no control unless you're AIMING for it to hit light. If the ball doesn't go where you want it to go, it's the operators fault, not the balls fault.

i already bowled 300 with it twice i got lucky both games cause i get alot of carry and ive been bowling since i was 3 so should have enough experience. and my coach who get lessons from every month,just keep up on my skill level and hes a gold level coach and i think he knows what hes talking about from what line i play with each of my bowling balls

i have nad no complaints about my VE's reaction in the back end....except that it might hook too much
