I remember how hard it was to lose my grandpa. He passed away when I was 18 just before final exams. Which made me study even harder because I knew how much it meant to him that I was going to university. I'd never known anyone to die either. We were there with him when he died. As horrible as it was, it also provided comfort.Time does heal the pain.I recently got engaged and it's hard that he won't be there for my wedding because he would have loved it. I love that you still found the positive.

@tangirl1122 Things are much better now, thank you. His name was Charlie Sloan. He was close to 90 though so he hadn't been doing surgery for a while. He was also president of the Rotary Club and super involved in the churches in the area. He was just an all around amazing man.

i am praying for you...my grandpa died when I was 14 years old he was like a father to me so now even me being 22 yrs old I still cry when I hear the song Daddy's Hands cuz that's what they played at his funeral plus with losing Lyndsay's father I lose it and March 10th marked Thomas' 5th yr of passing and It's hard to watch Lyndsay play and all without Thomas being here cuz when I was 2 months pregnant he died and he was soooo wanting to be there.

I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my maternal grandpa back in '04 and I still miss him a lot. What makes it harder is that my husband's maternal grandpa looks a lot like him.
I watch your videos all the time and they always have a way of cheering me up.

I was looking at the Chinese calendar and they say is 99% accurate and it indicates GIRL.... and when you mentioned that you would have loved your grandpa to meet your baby girl.... then you said boy... it was like you where so firm with the word girl....

@menesesn I wasn't so firm with the word girl. I was in the middle of crying and had to take a second before I could finish what I was saying haha sorry. And the Chinese calendar is NOT 99% accurate lol! It said girl for me with my last pregnancy and I got a boy! I actually don't know many ppl it worked for lol! And also, it says boy for me this time, not girl. I conceived in January and I'm 21.

A year and a half ago I lost my baby from a miscarriage at 14 weeks... I then lost my Grandaddy 5 months ago. I did not have the closure I needed when I lost my baby. But at the funeral I realize that he had my angel in his hands and that they were now together, I needed that closure. I pray for you and your family for healing from this. The day that my grandaddy died we were leaving the hospital and we saw a mother taking her new baby home. You are right when one life ends a newlife begins.

Sorry Lora :( I totally understand what your going through. I'm only 20 and I've know at least 24 people who have died in my life. I can't seem to go more than a year with out a death. Most have been people I went to school with from car accidents....it's like a town curse. But you will make it through this and always remember the good times.

I'm so sorry for your loss as well. We had Bubba's funeral today and it was really hard. Beautiful, and nice to have a little closure, but very hard. This just doesn't seem fair, but I am very thankful for the amazing memories we made with him and for the 21 years I had with him.

Oh man, I'm so so sorry, I couldnt help but cry when I watched this too. Loosing my Grandpa was the hardest thing, I literally had to watch him die from a heart attack and I wasn't old enough to fully understand what was happening. Remember that hes never really gone, he'll always be there to watch Tripp grow and your next baby grow, even if he physically isn't there. I see how special he was to you, and with the memories and pictures you have, he'll stay alive in all of your hearts forever.

i am praying for you...my grandpa died when I was 14 years old he was like a father to me so now even me being 22 yrs old I still cry when I hear the song Daddy's Hands cuz that's what they played at his funeral plus with losing Lyndsay's father I lose it and March 10th marked Thomas' 5th yr of passing and It's hard to watch Lyndsay play and all without Thomas being here cuz when I was 2 months pregnant he died and he was soooo wanting to be there.

I'm so sorry for your loss... My maternal grandpa died in '04 and I still miss him so much. What makes it worse is that my husband's maternal grandpa looks a lot like mine.

Hi Laura, Sorry to hear about your grandpa.... I was looking at the Chinese calendar and they say is 99% accurate and it indicates GIRL.... and when you mentioned that you would have loved your grandpa to meet your baby girl.... then you said boy... it was like you where so firm with the word girl....

@menesesn I wasn't so firm with the word girl. I was in the middle of crying and had to take a second before I could finish what I was saying haha sorry. You were very brave for putting up the bad news and sharing it with us. So sorry for your loss - my grandmother passed away about a year ago and it was the same kind of thing - first death in my family of someone I was close to. It will take some time, but know that your grandpa will probably be watching over you and all your family from now on.

A year and a half ago I lost my baby from a miscarriage at 14 weeks... I then lost my Grandaddy 5 months ago. I did not have the closure I needed when I lost my baby. But at the funeral I realize that he had my angel in his hands and that they were now together, I needed that closure. I pray for you and your family for healing from this. The day that my grandaddy died we were leaving the hospital and we saw a mother taking her new baby home. You are right when one life ends a newlife begins.

Sorry Lora :( I totally understand what your going through. I'm only 20 and I've know at least 24 people who have died in my life. I can't seem to go more than a year with out a death. Most have been people I went to school with from car accidents....it's like a town curse. But you will make it through this and always remember the good times.

Hey miss Lora, I am truly sorry for the sad news. Bubba was a great person and touched so many hearts as it seems. All the love you have for him will now be transferred to your new baby, and you can have something to be happy about. It was strange to see you in tears. I love watching you smile and watching you cry was in fact really hard. I dropped a few tears when you started crying. Oh man, I'm so so sorry, I couldnt help but cry when I watched this too. Loosing my Grandpa was the hardest thing, I literally had to watch him die from a heart attack and I wasn't old enough to fully understand what was happening. Remember that hes never really gone, he'll always be there to watch Tripp grow and your next baby grow, even if he physically isn't there. I see how special he was to you, and with the memories and pictures you have, he'll stay alive in all of your hearts forever.

I'm so sorry for your loss Lora. My brother died in a car accident 1/31/10 when I was 8 weeks post partum from having my son. I have been a complete wreck. My children are the only thing that has gotten me through this. I can't hear your video hardly at all, but I did hear that you lost your grandfather. I am so sorry!
