Hi Panhead88 sorry we have been busy with side projects. Castor sugar i will get back to you on, you can definately use a non stick pot, but still best to brush the sides as to not let the glucose crytalise too much on the edges where it is hottest.
Where can you get glucose? Is it at a specialty grocery? Or just your average store?

questions; you said not to use castor sugar, why not?
Instead of brushing the pot with a wet pastry brush, can you use a non stick pot?

@panhead88 best to use graded sugar or sugar cubes, the sugar is better because its not so fine and has more dust and more likly to re crystallize.
Useing a wet brush is best so you do not form sugar crystals around the edges of the pan.
