@koxiesarmy It's the differential steering feature. The 3 outboard motors work with the inboard most motor on the other wing with the rudder (steering) channel. By decreasing thrust on the water on one wing, it makes it easier to turn into that direction. Otherwise, the water steering is very cumbersome, especially in the wind, because the plane wants to "weathervane" into the wind. Not necessary on land due to friction of the tires against the pavement- but VERY helpful on water.
What's the setup on that? What motors? What batteries does it take (cells, mah)? Does it have a special rudder under the belly for water control? Absolutely gorgeous! I'm working on a scratchbuild 96 inches in span.
It has 100 inch wingspan, or 2.54 Meter span. In the event that the motor battery gets low or dies, it can be glided safely to the surface without damage. If the radio control power dies, yes, the plane will fall when it runs out of motor power or crash.
Gee guys!, NICELY done!!!! :)))

Beautiful job and great flight. What size are the motors and how come only 5 of eight worked at the end?

Why? It hasn't stopped me :) I'm in my 30's and managed to design and build it...stop watching TV and you'll find the time to get involved!
