Interesting handling of the Sleep motiv. It happens at 1:52 where he swings his baton. I listened to it a few times with my eyes closed so I could just get a sense of it without watching. So strange, that big "pop" of timpani and other instruments. I trip over it cause I'm not used to it and it almost doesn't seem to fit, but I like it a lot when I let myself imagine what could be happening in the story at that point.
I heard James King several times in Bayreuth as Siegmund (Wieland Wagners production of 1965 and later) but I never heard him as Siegfried. Wonderfull. Thank you very much.
