Brendan, You did a great job on this. I'd give you an A+. My dad was on Iwo Jima but after the main battle. There were still Japanese on the island for several years. I don't see how they survived that long.

And your casualty figures are slightly wrong ~ 6,821 officially KIA. One-third of all US Marines killed during WWII died on Iwo Jima (called "Ioto", in Japanese). Somebody says you got a B+ for this? More important: WHAT DID YOU LEARN FROM THIS?
