@TheJviking well, not really. hes known kate for around 6 years because they both became famous on youtube around the same time, and when kate moved in with cory, him and stephanie were still married and living together. When cory and steph divorced, Cory had to put his life back together and kate was the positive thing that kept him moving. then when he finally got himself back together and on track, he sealed the deal of happiness with making it official with kate. best love story ever.

When Kate was in San Francisco on her birthday, Cory drove all the way up there so she wouldn't be alone. While Cory was recovering from a failed marriage, Kate was there to keep his spirits up. When these two were friends, they've managed to establish a trust most people don't have with their own kin.
