hey is the first osoto gari supposed to be sloppy to get him to move back. because it looks like he is trying to reap the wrong leg. why doesn't he reap the front leg with kazushi
this combo is counter intuitive for a judoka to do this, in this combo when you are going to make the transition to the Kosoto part of it you put yourself completely on the back of your opponent, meaning that if your opponent is fisically stronger than you he could easily throw an Harai or an Otoshi on you
I studied with this sensei, maybe he didnt emphasize it, but this technique relies on dominating the grip (like many in judo). If you are not in control it is not a good idea to atttack with it.
@molataz yes I know this guy, he is a six dan black belt from Eastern europe, I met him in New York once. he used to be good when younger, but he has a tendency to teach things based on his own physical strength (power techniques), many european senseis do this, but Judo is not about strenth
This is gadgets! Why not doing the Osotogari determined? I don't get th point why everybody posting comments think this is great stuff. It's such a theater. Sorry, this step is coming but than he is EVEN MORE vulnerable for a great Osotogari. Which gets Ippon right away. Don't like the performance!
In competition Judo it is very hard to throw someone with experience with a direct attack, your first attack will almost always be blocked or countered by an experienced Judoka, THATS WHY!
this is great! I've never waited for the backstep so I've always made a sacrifice-Kosoto-gari. I realize that its a lack of kuzushi...Sensi Aronov is just excellent!!
gimme an extra hundred pounds on a guy and i'll make that look easy too

@greenbay357 It is just to show if the technique, if doing it for real you try reaping it fully and only if that doesn't work, you make the combo
