I dont understand why there is SOO MUCH hate for bill/sookie pairing. like, Bill lied because he was doing a job for his queen and he fell in love. Granted he should have told her sooner but things moved soo fucking fast. Even the scenes that involve Eric and Sookie are just stupid and fantasy-like. Besides the fact that Stephen and Anna are married, Bill and Sookie have a chemistry, a RELATIONSHIP that will go unmatched. The love that Bill had and still has for her will forever go unmatched.

Personally, I thought a Sookie/ Eric pairing had a lot of potential for an interesting story. Alas, the show has always underdeveloped their relationship in favour of Bil/ Sookie. Season 4 could have changed that but instead we got a horrbile, forced love triangle that ruined S/E and sookie's character. Everyone is basically just a prop for Bill.
I had heard they got married in real life. But I don't normally follow "news" related to this kind of stuff, so I may be wrong. I don't even know why I watch a TV show that has to do with vampires. I guess it's because of the smart approach to it (the criticism to the Church, the fact that humans can be more inhuman than vampires, who are technically dead. And it is funny too). And... it is produced by HBO. Idk about the marriage. As long as they are happy...
Bill and sookie have such good chemistry because the actors that play them are married in real, so its kinda natural. If you read the book you'll see how Sookie actually loathes Bill and has better chemistry with Eric anyways.

A. The books--Eric in the books is absolutely funny and very sweet with Sookie (for example, he's the one who kills Long Shadow in the novels, he tends to Sookie when she's hurt a lot, etc.)
B. Every girl (admitting or not) loves something about a badass

The show has basically turned Sookie into a brainwashed plot device in service of Bill's character development, and any opportunity for Sookie's organic development by herself or with Eric has been constantly castrated or diminished, or twisted to keep Bill central. From a writing perspective, Bill is in a privileged position over everyone else, even Sookie. It's one reason why season 4 felt so "off" for a lot of people.
@SaturnPhase Lol Eric is actually one of the most dependable people on the show. Of course he's complex, yet you always know where you stand with him, and with his few loved ones he's loyal to a fault. Bill is actually a far more skilled liar, and able to wear multiple masks, for a long time. Still, I think the writing on the show has gotten progressively worse to the point where I'm not really comfortable arguing about characterization because there's so much OOC behaviour and retconning...

Eric has been systematically trying to destroy the relationship between the two by always keeping them in his debt and no I don't think Eric has ALWAYS been honest. The whole, "I'm injured, please suck the bullets out with your mouth to forge a bond between us" incident? Dependable? I don't think so.

You can fill in the rest but the most striking for me is that Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are married in real life and in real life Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are romantically involved.
And how I wish Bella had a spine. It would have made book 2 and 3 better reading. I dont get why Meyer wrote such a character for teen girls. NOT a good look.

This was really sweet...I felt so bad for Bill when Sookie kicked him out after he caught her and Sam kissing. He literally looked so hurt and shocked when she did, and then the way he saved her by "waking" her up in the graveyard was pretty cool. So, him coming back like this was great, Snookie kind of realizes how much she loves him.
If you guys like Eric x Sookie than the books are definitely for you. (Although I don't know if Sookie will end up with Bill again at the end of the books...I hope so!)

I actually happen to like them BOTH as well but seeing as I didn't read the books, it's only natural for me to love Bill since his character was super charming while things went well with him and Sookie but seriously, this show has so much immature people, they can't respect another's opinions without cussing you out and calling you names.. This is HBO not fucking ABC Family! Haha like you said it isn't Twilight, so idk why it feels as if we have young kids watching.

@j08momo80a The two dramas have striking similarities. The whole love triangle with only one mortal woman and two supernatural hot guys. You can fill in the rest but the most striking for me is that Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are married in real life and in real life Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are romantically involved.
And how I wish Bella had a spine. It would have made book 2 and 3 better reading. I dont get why Meyer wrote such a character for teen girls. NOT a good look.

I liked him at first but I think he got a little boring, mellow, the way he says "sookie", so "epicly", so seriously, everytime, it bugs me, he's hot though. This was really sweet...I felt so bad for Bill when Sookie kicked him out after he caught her and Sam kissing. He literally looked so hurt and shocked when she did, and then the way he saved her by "waking" her up in the graveyard was pretty cool. So, him coming back like this was great, Snookie kind of realizes how much she loves him.
