I'd put Duran at #1 of all time for lightweights. He simply dominated everyone. As for SRL being overrated, hardly. Durand was the only one to beat him in his prime.
SRL .vs Mayweather? A very good fight. Duran .vs Mayweather? I'd give it to Duran. It is tough to compare fighters over time though.

@judaschongo well you could say the same for duran...duran never faced someone with a better defense than mayweather....it could go both ways....it is true that floyd will have a very hard time coping with the pace but floyd isnt a pushover..he is a very smart boxer....but your right about duran vs pac.....he would beat him at any weight...but at lightweight duran would absolutely destroy pacman....

Mayweather's defense? not my cup of tea; I prefer a prime Duran offensive based defense; or even an in the pocket type Toney defense. Mayweather should actually have a loss on his record and that's Castillo in their 1st fight.

Pacquiao agreed to 3 tests: 1. at the announcement of the fight(meaning roughly 3months prior) 2. 2weeks prior to fight time. 3. immediately after the fight. If that didn't satiate Floyd's idiotic, unreasonable demand? maybe people should be questioning his desire to wanting to fight in the first place!

probably the best tribute on duran ive seen people need to realize there were 2 major fighting periods for duran 1967-78 virtually an alltime greatup up there with pep,robinson, greb,monzon, then 1980-onward he fought bigger men and wasnt as dominant period! but still was able to beat leonard, cuevas, palamino, moore, barkley. Watch how he spins opponents, steps subtely to the side and takes his shot, bobs and weaves, the man had it all

Exactly - Floyd relies on punch and clutch even more than duran and he cant even punch! Also Duran was never afraid to fight the guys actually at the top of his weightclass just to protect his record.
