  • Paint heels soles

  • around how many grams of glitter do you think i would need in a basic size 7(uk) heels? is 40 grams enough? thankssss!

  • @Smileyqueen07 mm not sure about grams but I used like 1/4 of a glitter bottle

  • awesome vid though :)

  • hey, you have a typo in the title...just letting you know

  • Wow that really turned out nice.

  • Great tip. I'm right into recycling my stuff at the moment - making the most of what I've got - this is a great way to do that me thinks!

  • Juuuust taaap it in... Taaaap it in. Tap tap tap-a-roo!

  • wheres the rhinstone shoes!?!?!

  • @Antczak0629 I wear my flip flops out all the time.. I LOVE THEM!!!! Its totally fine :)

  • why did u put the glitter in the glue first? and would it make a difference if you dont put glitter in the glue first :) x

  • That shoe must feel very pretty! :D

  • This was so fun to watch. You inspired me. At first I didn't think it was going turn out very well. My mouth dropped when I saw the finished product. I must try to do this.

  • Hi, really enjoyed this video, kinda inspired me to get creative and fashionable again lol. Spring is here and I really want to look good!! I will try this with one of my lovely heels and see how I do :-)

  • This is such a great tip! Thank you! I love it and I'm going to try it out! :D

It would be a little embarrassing if you attend a fancy party with white tile floors and the glitter is flying off around you! >_<

  • I did this without the paper protection on my desk... big mistake..

  • great tip :)

  • I love it! Thanks!

  • WOW this is GENIUS!

    charlene

  • Hey :)

If I wanted to do this to a blazer will the glue stiffen the jacket and it wont be able to move? + if not does the glitter shed?

    thank you :)

  • wow it actually looks good !

  • just rhinesone the heel! doing the whold shoe would be a little overboard...

  • love it =) you're awesome cuz you showcase all these DIY ideas that I'm too lazy too look up myself lol

  • omg this is so simple but so pretty! :)

  • cool!

  • How cuuuuute! I just gave about 20 pairs of shoes away but I'll save more shoes in the future to glitter them out!!!

  • elessa thank u so much. now my friend and i have a craft activity to do over break :)

  • OmG perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for uploading the video! I'm gonna go do it! Thanks again! I appreciate your time and effort!

  • So cuute

  • Wanna do this sooooooo bad!

  • love these tip Thursdays:)!! ur so original

  • I love this, I'm gonna do a pair of platform flip flops I have. You're really going to add stuff to Louboutins? YIKES a you're brave girl! :)

    xoxo Michele

  • I LOOOOOOVE this! :) You're so creative.

  • OMG I LOVE YOU FOR THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • just do the heel on the louies :)

  • This is a really good idea! Thanks!

  • So cute how you made your construction paper area match all pink and purple!.

  • I can't wait to try this. I saw a pair of glitter shoes in the mall but they were too expensive for something I probably won't wear a lot but would still like to have for special occasions. I have a pair of heels that I rarely wear so... they are about to get their glitter coating and hopefully look like the mall shoes. Great idea and video. Thanks Eleesa.

  • would've liked to see you wear them jazzed up heels. just to see if they look good on human feet. :)

  • i love it x

  • They look amazing!!! <3

  • Oh noooooo, just leave the Louboutins the way they are!! Noone ever would put glitter on the mona lisa for example!!! :-)

  • This was uploaded on my bday :D

  • Thanks for the excellent IDEA! ^__^ I'm going to glitter my shoes!!!

  • What a great idea! Thanks Elessa!

  • Erm , When you wash it , won't it fall off ?

  • Could you a do a technique to wear you can add spikes to the heels, I reall want to do that to a pair of 5in heels that I have?

  • hahahaha "You can see my nails too, they're from Milani, Super Cool!... Except that one but whaterver..." That made me giggle x]

  • I saw a pair of glittery flats that I wanted to wear for my wedding but they didn't have my size. I never thought to just make my own! This is such a great tutorial, now I can have my glittery wedding shoes!

  • couldn't this possibly completely fail if it rains? i guess you'd just have to be extra careful with the glue you chose.

  • I've always loved sparkly shoes but I never thought to do it myself! I just got a pair of silver pumps from asos.com, I think I will make them spakrly silver this weekend! Great tip!!

  • Love this!

  • I think using an actual artistic fixative would be better instead of hairspray, because it's waterproof.

  • @wereallmadhere9 Well, I tried it, and it totally worked! I got a pair of plain black pumps at Payless, got the MS glitter (very nice), and glued it all over...and viola! I now have glitter pumps. I only had a matte fixative, so it dulled the glitter slightly, I would use a gloss next time. But now I know that glitter is staying on, and I have a new pair of shoes!

  • Is this music is from sims?? It reminds me it so much!

  • Hair spray remains somewhat tacky, so if you use just hairspray the tackeyness will attract dirt and dust n' stuff, making a mess. Use clear spray paint instead- it will actually cure so nothing will stick.

  • Does hairspray really hold for long periods of time...?

  • @Aiiren Not really. Use an actual artists fixative or clear spray paint.

  • ...what happens if they get wet?

  • Micheal's and Hobby Lobby are the best craft stores!

  • wow, very cool! I would be a little worried that i would be leaving glitter behind me all over the floor wherever I went.

Maybe wear these shoes to a nighclub, and not to a friend/family party at the house. HAHAH!!

Looking forward to the gemstone tutorial!

  • @TheSusanNation That's why you seal it! XD

  • OMG those turned out so cute!! I'll have to try it out!!

  • probably one of the best tip Thursdays :)

  • what happens when it rains lol?

  • Comment removed

  • Ooooh! It looks so nice! Very good tutorial. You definantly made it work. And you look REEEEEALLY pretty at the end of the tutorial there!

  • definitely just do the heel with rhinestones =)

  • GENIOUS

  • Really love this idea. Would this work on high-gloss pumps? I'm thinking it'd be hard for the glue to really grip to the shoe.

  • OMG! Im not lying when she said "I'm going to use...." I thought hair spray, and then "hair spray!" XD

  • love this makeup look! i think u look best with natural colors instead of crazy blues and purples and a bold lip. but thats just me.

  • amazing!!! xoxo

  • awesome

  • Where can I buy the glitter online??!?!

  • This was super cute!! They looked awesome in the end.. not too over the top but glittery enough. Thanks!

  • lol, why am I watching this, and even subbed to you... I'm a straight guy.

  • really cool tip, your shoes ended up looking awesome! i'm gonna do this with an old pair of ugly gray heels :)

  • FANTASTIC !!! ^_^

  • I want to do this for my look book video =) Thanks and welcome to visit me with my beauty/science channel beautiful!

  • we are the same shoe size!!!

  • Can you show how to stud stuff??? :) please!

  • Do the heel but with studs!

  • best tip thursday by far i love it!!!!!!!

  • i have a pair of suede ballet flats that have some water damage to them and just look too bad to wear as they are. i really dont want to throw them away because they're so comfy. do you think this would work on suede?

  • @crickiechickie I think it would be ok.. but I would google it a bit :)

  • side parting really looks good on you, great hair sexy look!

  • You said you loved those leather pumps but it was obvious that they were brand new, no scuff nor scratches on the sole. =(

  • @v1rgi3 you can get shoes re-soled, especially if they are ones you wear often.

  • @v1rgi3 its a rubber sole. And they are corporate shoes which means carpet all day long :)

  • @v1rgi3 you can totally see the crease on the toes ugh! people can be so annoying trying to call people out

  • @v1rgi3 well with me when i really like my leather pumps i take really good care of them... and they did look worn out if u look at the front of the shoe were it bends u can really tell.... but then again thats just me....

  • this is really cool!! if they were red, they'd be like Dorothy's ruby slippers!! lol. =]

  • so pretty! The shoes look awesome!

  • glitter on just the heels of stilettos looks great and not too overdone (:

btw you spelt 'glitter'' wrong on the title

    love your tips <3

  • the glue is going to rub off. ive tried this and it looks good for the first night but once the leather moves the glue peels off. DONT RUIN YOUR SHOES WITH THIS!

  • Does the glitter stay when it gets wet? Like rain or puddles?

  • You should do the heel fading up to the front. That might be cool. :)

  • YOUR HAIR. IS SO HOT!!!!

  • I am doing this! I wanted to buy this pair of nude glitter heels at a store in my mall but they were $119.99. They weren't brand name or anything! I'm better off buying some cheaper more comfortable ones and just dong them myself!!

  • can you do a look wearing them ? like an outfit you would pair them with ?

  • Very creative! :)

  • i totally am doing this...im gonna go to walmart and buy a cheap pair of heels though lol

  • OMG, what is that nail polish you are using?!

  • @vintagegrrrl Milani :)

  • Respond to this video...Milani glitter :D polish

  • instead of hairspray, you can use a spray acrylic sealer. they're usually with the spray paints. it holds up pretty well :)

  • I love your full name!

  • where can i buy the glue and the glitter?

  • @JUSBieberLovesMi wowowoowowowo she said Micheals.

  • that's really not pretty..looks cheap. sorry :S

  • where can i buy the glue?

  • Omg doll I love em.Must make such a mess tho!Mr.Louboutin would prob shit his pants if he saw this video.Lol

  • Yahhh I can't wait for your next video

  • Very pretty(:

  • I always had this idea in my head but i never thought the glitter would stick! now im definetly gonna try it out!! :D

  • skip to 6:36 and it sounds like "shit" when she says push it 8)

  • I don't believe that those are her favorite shoes.... looks like she never even worn them.

  • I did this a few years ago for ruby slippers when I was Dorthy for halloween. It looked so good! :) I used clear spray paint to set it.

  • great tip loves it <3

  • awesome & amazing vid pursebuzz/elessa! keep 'em coming! :)

  • I love that you mixed the glitter with the glue. That is awesome. Do you have a tutorial for rhinestones?

  • @10jaynim Really? Listen either you must be 4 or you don't have much character. FIRST OFF if you don't like the platform flip flops (or anything at that) don't mention it to tons of people. Second if you havent tried it...it does stay. I made glitter flip flops in 5th grade. Now I'm in a few grades higher and the glitter is still there -.-"

  • I like your last name !(: "jade"♥

  • @sarah50704 Thanks its actually my real middle name :)

  • Yeah...I can't believe you're doing something to the Louboutins! That's almost blasphemous!

  • @LiLGx1 lolol

  • Adorable! I wish I had a pair to do this to.

  • Glitter spray paint is so much faster

  • OMG this is crazy crazy amazing I love love love this idea so much!!

  • but if hairspray has alcohol in it wouldn't it break down the glue?

  • Great video :)

  • hahah they look nice but when ur walking around ur 'eventually' going to leave a trail of glitter!!!!!! kind of like "fairy heels" LOL.

  • hahah cute!

  • This is sooo cute. I absolutely adore glitter so i definitely want to try this. But, as MiZzThANGz21 said, does it leave behind a trail of glitter, Elessa? Or, is the glue/hair spray strong enough to adhere the glitter to the shoe? Pls reply>,<

  • @lovebelievelaugh

I've had glitter shoes from the STORE that have shed glitter. Regardless of whether or not you do it yourself or buy it already glittery, the shoe may shed anyway!

  • @csskkai Oic, thx alot>,<

  • eww platform flip flops gross! they will never come back! gross!!

and i really would not recommend doing this cause it really not going 2 last long at all!

  • This looks amazing! super cute:)

  • how hot would it be to take a plain black pump and do the sole of it in red glitter like a fake cl? haha, now i'm so tempted to do that with all of my shoes...

  • will the glue and hairspray wash off with water? what about using art setting spray ?(the ones used to set charcoal, paint etc. so they don't smudge/fade)

  • @BRabbitFai yes it will like I said in the video :)

  • i think if you use clear nail polish on top of it ill give it more of a shiny effect

  • @Cha0sxwazxh3re decoupage :) it works but its a diff look

  • Well I thought so maybe not I did see vids on this maybe it was another girl lol oops sorry :)

  • you look so pretty in this vid! :}

  • There not real cl. She has a vid of her making them love the glitter

  • @Sparkleypinkcupcakes I do? that's news to me . All my Loubs are real :) just ask neiman marcus :D

  • the music sounds like its from the sims xD

  • 7.57 Just don't brush your shoe!

  • i own a pair of stiletto platform heels...wonder if this would look good on them they have a 5 inch spike heel.lol

  • Noooo! You can't put rhinestones on Christian Louboutins! And you call yourself a fashionista. Jk lol. But I really did gasp when I saw you holding your pair of CL's. Haha.

  • @llcuz LOL If you buy CL's with stones its about $3200+ so if I put them on $750 CLs then it will cost me a few hundred instead :) but too many hours LOL

  • @llcuz I agree, don't do it on those! D:

  • the glue should be strong enough so that the glitter doesnt fall off with water. i had a little glitter design on my hoodie that i always washed, and it always came out fine :) and it endured the washer, so im sure rain wont do anything bad

  • I really like the way these turned out

  • can you do a tutorial how to make those pink bows

  • @louilover123 They came from sofistafunk :) dot com

  • what if it rains lol

  • U should put pic of how they look on please

  • Awesome DIY! Thanks!

  • such an amazing idea :P cant wait for the rhinestones :D

  • I definitely recommend only rhinestoning the heel part of your CL's! Covering the whole thing up would definitely overpower the amazing shoe it is already! Plus if you only do the heel, it'll attract more attention to people noticing the sexy red soles. ;)

  • you should just do the heel for the other pair :)

  • This looks AMAZING! I never would have thought to do this!! Thank you!

  • creative :) and i like this opening theme

  • This is awesome :D

  • OOOOOH im sooooo gonna make dorothy heels (with red glitter) !!!!

  • Platform flipflops are in fashion in the 90's.

  • @garcon42 yes and they are back :) I just bought those flip flops two days ago :) whoot check out my post about it :P

  • @garcon42 and the 90's are back dont be hatin!!!

  • @garcon42 The 90's the worse fashion waht ever see, soo ungly that i havent got a woprds to descript.

  • <3<3<3<3<3

  • This is such a great idea. I have a pair of really nice leather shoes that got scuffed, and this would be a great way to repurpose them. I'm going to try it.
