I don't think it is wise to consider all GMOs unhealthy, but it is equally unwise to assume they all are health.
It is important to examine the motivation any corporation has for designing an organism. If it is anything other than making it healthier I would be very skeptical of it. Not saying it can't be good, but it needs to be looked into deeply.
We need to make more food. There are going to be 10^10 people on Earth in 50 years. We need GMOs, but we need them studied and safe.
all you did was read... you have no facts that state gmo is safe for anyone... you believe what you want... eat what you want... but do it in a controled environment so that it doesnt mutate are food... have fun with your health
Sure. I care for my health. I read labels, count calories and exercise daily. If you don«t see any facts in and from my video, by following the trail (links), you are willfully ignorant and I reciprocate your wishes.
this is in reply to your negitive comment you sent me about being ignorant or some crap... anyway the false information you are try'n to pump out over the net will not succied. I challenge you to prove GMO's are not harmful
I never said they were not harmful. I said nothing about them. I asked to the proponents that they are harmful to provide evidence, so go insult some other fool.
Also, Checked half of your video and it seemed quite suspicious to me, since I'm used to digging. First thing I do is determine if the source is credible and independent. I have no evidence to suggest that Jeffrey Smith is such. I tracked his name to his site, where I supposedly have his BIO, but there is no information on his academic history, so we do not know what he studied and we do not know of his achievements as an independent person. All we know is he is actively lobbying against GMO
and is present in platforms such as the responsible technology institute, which I recognize is a very cool name, but gives me no added credibility. So we have unknown bio and we have clear evidence for partisanship. When I ask for evidence, I am referring to scientists, namely in the field being inquired. When I refer to sources, I am talking about published and peer reviewed literature. A charming guy asserting stuff is just not enough. Refer me to papers in journals like "Nature" or "Science"
that conclude GMO's cause this or that disease. My guess is that you can't because my guess is that if such was the case, those foods would be automatically banned. But I don't want to be mean, just provide evidence from credible, independent sources, based on empirical peer reviewed studies. Thanks.
GMO is largely implimented a means of applying IP to food crops. I'm not going to go into it further in a 500 char comment, but it is well documented, paricularly Monsanto's various lawsuits againt Canadian farmers for 'stealing' their patented crop genomes.

I have an issue with Monsanto's business practices. I also agree that life should not be patented.

So do I, I'm an agorist anarchist. The video is about "Are GMOs dangerous for one's health" though. Keep that in mind.

Which seems to me to be a whole different debate than the one being proposed in the video, ie (are they safe or not for ones health).

I'm all for it. If its improving the quality of food, and not just the profit margins of the food industry, than its positive.
