  • Thank you

  • My apple snail has today laid her eggs on the hood of my cichlid tank! How long before they hatch and when they do will they get eaten? I have a video if the eggs check them out:)

  • @Willbaroo200 anywhere from 2-5 weeks. They will probably get eaten so if you have a hatchery, you can put it under where the eggs are so they will fall into it instead of getting eaten.

  • I have a black mystery snail for about two years now and it just laid eggs. My mom is freaking out. I have no idea how to take care of them.

  • omg :( was i suppoesed to keep it there ?!!? i fell terrible ! because i thought they were supposed to be in water so they were hard and i scraped them off and put them in water (a cup of water from the fish tank) will they die ? there floating in water right now !!!

  • I just got in one batch of mystery snail babies well the snails aren't even an inch and they had over 50 babies its crazy and there is just two of them

  • Apple Snails and Mystery Snails are in the same family but they aren't the same thing. Apple snails get to be the size of a fist and eat plants. Mystery snails usually top out at 3 inches and don't eat plants.

  • Just got one and its on the top similiar place, will it craw or wahtever out?

  • i have little snails in my aquarium and im not sure if my golden mystery snails mated i have not noticed them laying eggs but have noticed that one snail always goes to the surface and one time actually got out of the aquarium, do you think i have an invasive snails inside my tank or just ones from the golden mystery snails?

  • @TempestCP probably a invasive snails- they look quite diffrent- Applesnails are "round" and "white" when really small - and invasive snails are like Oval. Pond, and Physa does not look like apple snails at all. Apple snail lay their eggs above the waterline and it takes about 2 weeks before the babies crawl out from it- you should notice that- from one to another day you suddenly have like 70-100+ snailbabies on the aquariumglass-bottom of the tank. Hard to miss.

  • @Koi5505 they have sells like golden mystery snails and i can see a slight small slit that looks like a trap door

  • my blue snails eggs on top of glass out of water why? I have many babies snails blue and irovry

  • @dpkcactus69 The babies in the cocoon above water will drown if thehy fall in the water. When the babies are ready- they will break out of the cocoon with hundreds of eggs and fall down in the water. They breath under water with speciallounges like fishes- but also have lounges that needs air- wich they breath right under the surface with their funny siphon :) Why it is important to have a air-space above the water surface in the aquarium.

  • do they breathe underwater? is that a gold mystery snail

  • what the eff

  • Does each one those white dots represent a snail ._.?

  • o yea thats adorable..

  • This is amazing!!!!!

  • lucky i would have droped my camra

  • Apple snails = Mystery snails

They are from the same family they all lay eggs the same way given the right conditions.

  • are they slow at EVERYTHING?!

  • WHERE ARE THEY ALL COMING FROM!?!?

  • i have Mystery snails and they got pregnet 2 days ago when will they lay eggs???? mail me please!

  • Thats a golden apple snail I have 2 of them

  • thats an apple snail, mystery snails don't lay eggs above water.

  • the snails like push.....9304 push......9305 push.....

  • Well I have 5 snails in my tank now and I started with one small one. so mystery snails are hermaphrodites. sorry to burst everyone bubble google it baby. only snail that isnt is trapdoor snails.

  • do these mate asexually or do u need 2 of them?

  • @ak74u2 Mystery snails aren't asexual, you need a male and a female to mate.

  • They lay craploads, don't they? I had bought one for my tank & within 2 weeks she had laid clutch-after-clutch-after-clutch! Finally after the 2nd hatched we had to remove the following three or the babies were gonna take over the aquarium!

  • wow that is gross!

  • that is so cool! I love snails hehe. View my channel for a free gift!

  • wow good shot! I have never actually seen them laying before, only the aftermath.

  • ahaha.. Mystery snail............

  • My have laid three nests, and tons before this, but they keep falling in water..... is that normal? is it suppose to do that?

  • @punkers699 when eggs are laid and hardened try moving them onto a piece of polystyrene and floating it on the water. Eggs need humidity to hatch but will drown if they fall into the water

  • i want to start up a mystery snail tank and i am looking for some tips on how to breed them

any help you can give me will be much appreciated :D

  • Buy 4 - 6 of whatever color you want. Ivory, Gold, Blue, Purple, etc. Chances are you will get at least 1 male and 1 female. You will see some piggy back riding the other. Few days later you will find clutches of eggs on the lid of your aquarium. If you want to have a aquarium specifically for them I'd drain the water about 2 inches town from the top to give them more room to lay their eggs. If the eggs fall into the water, which they do sometimes toss them out. They drown.

  • is it laying eggs above water????

  • yes right above the water line

  • Yes, otherwise the babies drown.

  • @chickenboy7652 Congratulations dude. I have a 99.8 gallon salt water fish tank, and to get snails to mate at all is practically impossible. Interesting. Again, good job bud.

  • does the color make any diffrence?

  • ew ew omg ...lolz jk jk uhm please tell me that its laying eggs inside the tank and not at the very top ..that'd be like....whoa..u kno??

  • Hey man!!! this video is about what happens before the eggs are layed...haha!!! enjoy the strong scenes.

  • i dont really know anything about them. I got some on a trade from a lady and then they layed eggs i have since sold them and dont have them any more

  • How do you tell if it's a boy or a girl?

  • they are both male and female.

  • Ohhhh! I want mine to lay eggs! It's crawling down the bubble blower right now...

  • yeah but it might depend on what kind of snail you have, some need a mate.

  • I have a gold Mystery snail

  • my mystery snails just layed a batch in the 29 gallon which I just found out. Do the snails have to be in there while they hatch because I added them in the 10 gallon again like 4 days ago and they were only in the tank for a few days. I don't know how to take care of them. Help1

  • nice catch

  • how long until they hatch?

  • I have a gold mystery snail and a black mystery snail. Apple and mystery snails are one in the same.

  • Apple and mystery snails are'nt the same, apple snails get the size of baseballs and mystery snails only get the size of golfballs.

  • must it be out the water isnt that a marine snail?

  • I THINK IT IS A APPLE SNAIL

  • me 2

  • but than again aren't the egg's of the apple snail more pinkish

  • Isn't that a Golden Apple Snail? I have Black Mystery Snails but they don't do this lol

  • i dont think its an apple snail becuase it is not nearly big enough the pet store said it was a mystery snail. do you have a male and a female?

  • @Batliner1985 Have you seen a baby being born???

  • @Batliner1985

This is a Apple snail (Family Ampullariidae, spiece;Pomacea Diffusa) also called mysterysnail. One apple snail can get kids in diffrent colors- black, white, pink striped, purple and jade and so on. All apple snails - with one or two exception- lay their eggs above the waterline. Mysterysnail is a apple snail. So yeah, Black mysterysnail lay their eggs above waters to. They are the same spiece- often. Most common is the P. Diffusa who dont eat your plants.

  • That's a Golden Mystery Snail. I have both and Blacks leave little white eggs all over the aquarium. Just add 1 teaspoon salt/gal and there will be hundreds hatching.

  • Mystery snails are types of apple snails and there are many types of apple snails ranging from 1 inch to 6 inch.

  • This is awesome and gross at the same time! yikes
