  • Very nice sound! Good luck!

  • man that is unreal. fair play dude,

  • you are talented :0

  • LOL Dude u look like Jim Morrison when the Doors first started out! Great tune man sounds awesome!

  • I love it! I have plans for doing a couple indie flicks. Maybe a western and or a sci-fi that your music would be perfect for!!

  • Hello Shane, thanks for coming back to inquire after all that time! I am using the H4, but nowhere near the skills and the level you work at. Basically, I use it to record rehearsal sessions of the band I play in, plus doing recordings of the concerts. The sound quality for live recordings is astounding, even when one does it in a room full of talking spectators. I haven't gotten around to recording anything on the individual tracks yet. I just wish the display window was bigger, it is so small!

  • @velvetpaws999 Are you plugging in direct from the sound board, or using the built in stereo mics to capture the room sound all together?

  • @ShaneAnthonyTheLover I am mostly using the stereo mike, and in the mp format, because it is not so volume-greedy.

  • How did you add the effects? how did you only record your guitar without any outside sounds? and how you add multiple tracks?

  • @Trashmetalmilitia It's a 4 track recorder, so it's made to do multiple tracks. Each track has 10 virtual tracks, so you can actually record 40 tracks, but only play 4 back at a time simultaneously. But, you can dump them all (wav files) into your computer and pull up the files in any editing (daw) program you want. The delay effects came from the pedal I showed at the beginning of the video. The guitar was plugged in direct (it's an acoustic / electric Guild Songbird guitar).

  • rockin the d minor

  • @ComedicToast Yeah,... thanks

  • Spiritually moving piece. Thanx for the hard work.

  • @bd1965 Glad you enjoyed.

  • did you have to sync it all together on the computer or will the zoom sync it for you?

  • @hmbr1993 Sorry for the late reply, hehe. If you play along with another track on the Zoom that you've already recorded, then it's automatically synced up. You would just pull up the wav files in whatever daw (digital audio workstation) you're working in, and line up the beginning of each track to start at the same time.

  • Wow! very impressive! Beautiful composition, and good production all around! Loved it! I am still at the beginning of my discovery of my H4, and seeing what you did with it took some of my frustration levels down again, lol. (I have never used any of these machines before, hence the frustration...)! It is hard to read the menus on that little screen, though... maybe I need reading glasses? hmmm

thanks again, wonderful job, well done!

  • @velvetpaws999 @hmbr1993 Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy to use. You just have to learn how to move around in the H4. It's really nice how small it is though. I can take it with me in my guitar case if I want.

  • @velvetpaws999 It's been almost a year now. How have you been coming along with your H4?

  • How did you sync the music with the video?

Or, did you run directly out of the h4 into your camera?

  • u can sync with clappin hand really hard n find signal with zoom audio n video's audio n edit it.

  • @lboiv001 No, I did not run directly out of the H4 into the camera. I lined it all up later with the video in iMovie.

  • Nicely done. What a treat to know you play for His glory! Amen brother. I record the worship in our men's ministry using my H4 at the Rock Church in San Diego. We play a set and it's a treat to listen later and hear 150+ men praising His name in heartfelt worship. God is good.

  • @notlimah33 Amen!

  • Like gothic Mike Oldfield

  • dude ! When I get my first movie done and ready for editing I want you to help with the score!

  • so you can mix different sounds and mix them all at once on the recorder? im trying to do a foundation of acoustic and then add some electric...how would i do that? need some help man anything would be appreciated....

  • LOST IN THE DESERT FEEL TO IT!

  • thanks

  • This is boss. I really like this. Great groove. Great vibe.

  • @cracks21229 thanks!

  • that was kool cept for the bible verse

  • zoom H4 is freaking awesome!

  • great tune man;) keep it up!

  • @masterrofl thanks

  • What is it in your hand, Do tou need it to get good sound ?

  • dont u ever tune up ? pffffff

  • hey jesus, why don't you live up to your name sake a bit and stop judging people. if you don't wanna watch dont watch. i dont understand people who take the time out of their day to ruin someone else's. its mean and its pointless.

  • sehr schön, sehr schön gemacht!

danke, das sagt tausend mal mehr über das Gerät als jedes Review etc.

    thx a lot, very good

this movie say realy more than every comercial video or review here.

  • THIS is all what i wanted to know about H4.. ! awsome work.

  • Sounds like August Rush on drugs! lol, nah man very nice!!

  • Excellent audio visual creativity and demo of the Zoom H4. Just the device I am looking for! Thanks!-Don

  • I love your music. It's so ethereal and soothing.

  • Aplause!!! 10 out of 5!!

  • So crazy... your doing what I've been wanting to do forever... Guitar+Mic+4Track+Bongos+Woods = AWESOME. Hope you make other vids.

  • very nice - what camera did you use to get such good pic quality?

  • I want to buy one.Just one question.

    How is the internal effects?

    The amps and other effects.

  • the effects are truly astonishing Mr Omni ; I recorded a series of three rather greasy post nacho farts and applied delay n°42 and the sound was astonishing and very floydish.

  • Dude man that is fucking sick!!!!!! 5 stars

  • Very Cool stuff man! I have an H4 too, and love it. Did you find that the audio got out of sync with the video after a while?

I've also got 2 ebow videos on my channel if you want to check them out. One acoustic, and one electric. Take care...

  • I checked out your eBow videos. You have some good stuff there!

No, I did not have any audio/video sync problems.

  • i need some help everytime i use the 4track recorder i record the 1st track and thtss fine but when i try playback both tracks its starts fuzzzing andgoing crazy al the volume levels are lowered what could i do?

  • were you monitoring with your headphones??? is there any latency when pluging in a guitar to the H4??? could I use it as an effects processor?? by this i mean that i would like to plug my guitar directly to it, and from the headphone output, plug it to an amplifier... could this be done??

  • You seriously need to get yourself an electric guitar... lol. Good work.

  • Thanks. I have two electric guitars. You can see my beautiful sunburst Godin in this video of mine: watch?v=xFi4oM508aE

  • yea thats was hot to def! cant wait to get mines too! .. i would love to sample some of your work..

  • F***ing awesome! you are wasted man. Brilliant production. All done on the H4? cant wait till mine arrives... nice work man.

  • gostei sou seu fan hahahah.

  • category: Comedy?

Initial impression, this is a joke movie, Lasting impression, it looks easy to make good music.

    Now there's the comedy.

    Cheers

  • Wow.. that's a pretty cool effect with the delay AND the Ebow

  • Thats the experimental creativity of the portable recorder . By allowing a good quality recording in a natural ambient setting the power of nature can be sampled into technology. This is a new Genre of recording right here . Revolutionary .

  • Very nice - what are you using for a mic stand adaptor? I haven't been able to find anything of the sort...

  • A miniature camera stand.

  • WOW MATE!

it took a long while to load up, but this video is preeemium!!!

i cant wait for my zoom h4 to arrive! i got it with a 512mb and 4gb sd card, and a tripod new for 155 GBP!!!

Bargain. I really like the delay effects from your pedal - i think i might invest in one of those!!! and i really like the EBOW!

they are expensive though man, butone day i might cop one. Anyway, this is a great work dude. PEACE

  • man this video is taking ages to load!!! looking forward to seeing it. i'vew bought a zoom h4 off ebay!

    peace out.

  • Try viewing it on my site under the tab TVScraps at: shaneanthony "dot" net

  • Also, how effective is the H4 in a club setting for recording clean when recording a loud band (of any genre) live?

  • What are you using for a camcorder (the video quality is excellent, by the way)? Did you have to go back and sync track with H4 data? How did you get the delays and where do I get an eBow?

  • Great ShaneAnthonyTheLover, I think I've seen this video 10 times today, I'm thinking in purchasing an H4, I saw you can record and listen, you pluged hearphones to H4 or Delay pedal? Other question, is it possible too record while listening to other tracks previously recorded? That would be amazing for composing. Thanks for sharing.

  • Yes & Yes. I plug the headphones into the H4 and listen to what I've recorded while adding a new track that I'm playing.

  • Very cool bud, was watching the vid on the gyro set up, and saw this so clik. Shows how easy it is to get creative these days with the digi recording as it is. very cool.

  • Cool! But what's that in your hand?

  • An eBow. It makes the strings ring on without having to be picked.

  • Cool! :) How does it work?

  • Dang this was cool, Shane! :)

I just bought me an H4 on ebay. ;) - Btw: How is it to use an' ebow?! I been thinking about purchasing one for ages now, but I havent done it yet. You made me re-think it "again"...

Tnx for this great post Shane! Luvvit!

    Arnt P. from Norway

  • The eBow is great. I use it all the time on an acoustic and love it. I've never seen anyone else use it on an acoustic before.

It screams and sings really awesome on an electric with some gain added.

    Shane

  • Why did you label this comedy? This kicks ass.

The H4 is a nice lil toy, but my real question is if you have a Pup on your acoustic?

  • haha, I didn't realize I had posted this in the comedy section.

    Thanks for the compliment.

    It's a Guild, Acoustic-Electric, requires a 9v. No pickup, all internal.

  • this should be there official ad for the h4.. all zooms ads are crap.. well done buddy.. very good. 5 stars

  • Wow! If I were you , I'd try and push this as a commercial for the h4. I'm sold. It was between the micro br and the h4 , but I'll definitely spend the extra dollars on this. Awesome work, really man!

  • very nice indeed... what is that grey thing which you hold in your hand which gives the sustained note? it makes a beautiful sound

  • When you're recording, can you listen to a track that you already recorded at the same time? Like say you recorded a guitar track and you were going to record a drum track. Can you listen to the guitar track while you are recording the drum track through like a headphone jack or something?

  • Yes, that is how I recorded the video I posted. I was playing everything live in front of the camera, while recording into the Zoom H4. I did them one instrument at a time, and listened to what I had recorded through headphones while playing the next one, then mixed up the video footage later, jumping from one shot to the next. There's a line out, and a headphone out with a volume control for the headphone out. You can also edit the volumes while recording. It's great fun!

  • Sounds pretty cool, I might just go pick one up!

  • hey tks for this great video!!

2 questions:What software did u used to edit this song?

Iam a musician too, would u recommended the zoom h4?

    getting from Paris

  • What's great about the Zoom H4, is that you can plug it in to your computer via USB, then drag and drop all the files you just recorded, which is what I did, and then pulled them up in Pro Tools for a final mix. I would recommend this to anyone, it's great! It's unbelievable that I can walk out into the woods, and still record that kind of quality sound. Then take that same H4 recorder, go into the house, and use the built in mics to capture a drum sound and add it to the song....

  • ....then easily pull up the files in Pro Tools or whatever software editing program you want. You can even create the mix right from the Zoom H4, it has control over volumes and pans. Plus each of the 4 tracks on the Zoom has 10 virtual tracks of their own, so you can try up to 10 takes on each track, save them all, and choose your favorite 4 later. You can also punch in and out on the Zoom while you're recording, very easily. Just lots of fun.

  • Nice video. Have you figured out how to multitrack on the H4 yet? Is it possible to eg. play guitar through an input channel and record vocals using the mic at the same time?

  • Of-course, that's what I was doing when I recorded this video. I was using the multitrack feature. I played everything you heard LIVE in front of the camera. What you see is what you hear. No, you can't record thru the built in mic and an input channel at the same time. But, you could plug a mic into of the channels, & whatever else into the other input channel simultaneousely. Both inputs are XLR/1/4" phantom powered. Or, record thru 1 input channel, then use the mic w/multi track to add
