tommy shaw is my favourite member, he has such an amazing voice and guitar skills. but there is no denying that styx just isnt the same without dennis deyoung.

I hadn't listen to styx for years. My 14 year old daughter called me into the office one day and said check this song out; "Renegade." So I schooled her in some of Styx greatest works, what a great band.

That's awesome! My daughter and I are both Styx fans too and we just saw them in concert along with REO Speedwagon and 38 Special. All those guys can still Rock like there's no tomorrow!

Dennis had a great sound, completely different from Tommy's- James had another style all his own, and they all sound great. My favorite band growing up- brings back great memories

I miss Dennis' lyrical styles but Tommy has/does make a valiant effort to keep Styx better for a newer generation of 'true' rockers--Styx still rocks in my opinion!

Btw, what did Dennis ever do to you people? Sure, he's no Tommy, but he did write some of their biggest hits. And he can hit all the notes, it's just his voice doesn't have that raw element needed for powerful rock. But you can't honestly say Styx would've been better off without him.
