They can let you go for a LEGITIMATE reason, and you can sue. I have seen it happen. If they don't hire you, you can sue. I have seen white males laid off on Friday, and a minority hired on the following Monday. If an employer does not have their quotas, the government will sue them, you can sue them.

I risked my life for people that hated me because of the color of my skin. I helped liberate a country. I handed out food, water, aid in 4 different countries.
