I once told Amy 'you have never released a bad song' - she said 'not sure about that' - that tells you a lot about her right there. An angel amongst us.
Amy Grant is such a beautiful woman, both physically and in her voice. It is sad she wasted so much of her musical career on the vapid waste land that is Christian pop.
@alphacause well just because you can't identify with Christianity doesn't mean that Christian Pop is ''vapid waste'' YOU'RE VERY IGNORANT!!!!!!!!!!!!
@PopCulture20 If I consider Christian pop music a vapid wasteland, I am not stating an objective fact. I am stating things an opinion. So how is that a sign of ignorance? Ignorance is defined as not knowing something. Expressing an opinion that is divergent from your own is not a sign of ignorance. Get your terms straight. Not knowing what ignorance means, then turning around and calling someone ignorant, is in fact ignorance.
@alphacause your CHOICE OF UNFLATTERING WORDS DOES NOT EQUAL INTELLIGENCE. What alternate universe are you living in? What you said DEFINED IGNORANCE. You are a very ignorant individual
@PopCulture20 Tell me exactly what about what I said defines ignorance. Ignorance is defined, by the Merriam Webster's Dictionary as the following:
" the state or fact of being ignorant : lack of knowledge, education, or awareness."
So have I stated something that is factually incorrect? Where have I displayed a lack of knowledge, education or awareness on the topic in question? I offered a different opinion on Christian music than the one you hold. That is not ignorance. That is dissent.
1st time I ever heard this song...I was leaving Miami in hopes of a redirected life. It's odd how I can recall the song being played at this gas station while fueling. And as I left the gas station, I flipped thru the radio-and it was playing again. Very encouraging for those times. It's funny how songs make a mark on our lives-Remain blessed

time is what helps us recognize the change......we push forward......don't spend a lot of time looking back. forward is the thing...bitterness has to be pulled up by the roots.........say careful words about yourself and others.
Amy Grant would definitely be the kind of girlfriend that I would love to have to fellowship with!:) That way we could share sister to sister secrets that no one else would ever understand!
Behind The Eyes was in my opinion, hands down, her very best album. I am a major rocker, but I have played this album more than about any other I own. I named my girl after her for a reason! Just spelled it different. Sorry, Amy, liked Aimee better!
My mom took a video of me singing this song in our living room. I look high... and I'm spinning around like a maniac... Man, I love this song so much!
I don't agree that she was "reaching" for anything with this song. Amy's sound is, and has always seemed to be, all her own. Without knowing her personally, her music seems to speak for who she is. I truly believe that's why her music is still so loved to this day.
@Pam4Rob Christianese is the language and terms specific to Christians, terms they take for granted but non-Christians don't really understand unless they are explained. Ever Christian knows this, they may not know the term, but the Bible is full of terms that we use and unless you know what is, it wont make sense to you. :)
The clock scenes are from 346 Broadway at Worth Street Downtown Manhattan. I am the clock maintainer! Also filmed here is a scene from the movie " 9 1/2 weeks" with Kim Bassinger and Mickey Rourke.
Everything in the Tower now in 2009 is exactly the same as when this was shot. A great video from a great singer and a great song.
I wanted to mention that Amy and Vince had an on-going affair in the 90s while they were both each still married to their first spouses, before they got divorced and remarried. The whole affair, divorce, remarriage was completely adulterous and it DESTROYED two families. I cannot imagine that Amy's first husband (Gary) or Vince's first wife (Janis) or their children, are very happy about this. It was a very sad, regretable thing that Amy & Vince did.
wow do you go and post the same thing on every Amy Grant video? This has got to be the 5th time I have seen this. It's been 10 years the families have moved on, and are fine... You should do the same. Especially since your not involved in their family.
I saw Amy Grant at the Township Auditorium in Columbia, SC in June 1998 on the Behind the Eyes tour. She put on a good show. I was a little disappointed that she didn't sing Angels. She performed that at the 1985 Grammy Awards Show. Did anyone see her around this time? Please post if you did.
