Man, the high-quality version of this song has a weird skip at around 9:36 and then this version is flawless but the quality is sooo much worse. I knew this song was too good to be true!
I can't even put this song into any category, but I love it! Any song that is over 10 minutes long that doesn't seem like it's 10 minutes long is a GREAT song IMHO!
First heard this in '72 on WNEW NYC, Alison Steele. Bought it the next day. I've had in on LP. tape, or Cd ever since. Decades later, still one of my Top 10 Groups.
@chicken11999933 Then you shouldn't be so biased and learn to love it. Picks offer more attack, greater speed, pick sliding, and pick tapping. I preffer the sound of a pick over the sound of fingers. then again, I also prefer p basses over 4001's and 4003's.
this band is way before my time, my dad had this song on the stereo, i immediately felt i had to learn to play it on guitar...fucking amazing must listen to more
listen to the whole album it is called fragile....then repost what you think. I think it is one of the best progressive albums to come out of the 70's

It would be nice to think, that in a hundread years or so, this will be considered classical music. Which, to me, it already is.

Gah, I'd love to learn the bass but I hate playing with a pick.

I love Squire's furious bass riffing in the beginning and Bruford's monster drum rolls.
