I think, Walter Roehrl is the best car-driver of the world.

He won a lot of rallyes all over the world and the ultimate race of "pikes-peak" in the USA on Audi. All imposant tracks in his life.

Now, i think, he is test-driver of Porsche-development.

Walter seems to pause in neutral both in downshifts and upshifts. Anyone knows why?

He may be slipping the clutch slightly on up-shifts because it's a wet track.

I know he's probably heel and toeing on all the down-shifts, which might seem like a pause.

Trust me he's a master, I've seen him heel and toe, left foot brake and double clutch instantly.

I give full credit to Walter here- he is one of the best if not THE best, but it is kind of weird slipping the clutch going at such high speeds on upshifts. I understand, if he tries to do the upshift a.s.a.p he might overspin the rear though in the wet.

I bought this months' EVO magazine especially because I was hoping it would feature a big article about your first tests and/or VLN race but NOTHING!!??? This should be THE main feature in Evo all summer long....
