The guy grabbing that plane is an idiot... That is incredibly dangerous, especially grabbing a control surface like the rudder. Most fields wont allow people near the flightline, and i certainly would never fly at one that allowed shit like that.

Probably because you said "gyroscope" friend, these rc pilots do not use gyroscopes to hover. They just practice a lot and have nimble fingers. Put in prop hang or torque roll in as a search and you will see. Enjoy :-)

@zimrossco actually a lot of these guys DO use gyros. I doubt Bill is, but lots do because they can't hover. True skill is take a plane that isn't worth $5000 no gyros, and not pro built and do it with one of those

some planes have to tanks. one for fuel and one for a smoke mixture that burns into the exhaust.. so it could be either normal or the Added smoke

I dunno... 3D is cool for the first minute, but please show some variety. Out of a 5 minute 41 second video... only about 30 seconds of it had airplanes actually doing anything but hovering.

Is having a gyro, considered cheating? It is really difficult to hover, I have been trying it on the G4 Simulator, with a big circle, & I still can't last longer than 5 seconds! Hard.

These guys should put out more clips. Tandem 3D Aerobatics, are such a joy to watch.

Just keep practicing, my friend, some day will become natural to you. Now hover the real thing and the sim, it's a total diferent story, any way the sim will give you good coordination. But YES you can hover as long as your fuel tank will let you, "IF YOU KNOW HOW"

They definetly have gyros in them. I can tell by the way the plane is correcting itself. Without the gyros, the hovers would be much more unstable and "jittery".

How would you know if these have gyros? I know that gyros are in helicopters but, they can assist airplanes too? I have never heard of that. Heli-Gyros on any Airplane?Not saying it is impossible. I am just new to this Hobby scene.

LOL - why do kids comment on stuff they have no idea about. Setting up a plane like that is an art. Flying it like that is a skill that takes years. The confidence in the guys touching the plane know the skill level is top .01%.

Try a high alpha landing like that on any size plane without stall spinning into the runway - very cool!

Models are difficult. I started flying R/C when I was 10 and flew them until I was 16 which was 10 years ago. I had a midwest 27% extra 300 with a Moki 1.8 and it would torque roll all day. Now that I am an Atp and type rated in a C-550 jet with 3,500 hours, I can say that it is easier to fly a R/C anything than a full scale airplane. It is a different skill to fly r/c. I think there is too much torque rolling these days, it is easier to torque roll than fly the other aerobatics.
