  • Lyndon B Jhonson sucks

  • I have created a music album which charts the history of the Space Race.

    Space Race by Rhesus Monkey.

The album charts the start of the Space Race with Sputnik 1957, Yuri Gagarin's first human space flight, John Glenn's Triple Orbit, Ed White's Gemini IV Space Walk, then onto Apollo.

You can view videos of three tracks from the album within my YouTube channel.

The videos include NASA archive material.

  • wish Obama would have the same spirit! But he has no sense for the future, for the progress of humanity, the spirit to go further. beyond all frontiers! He's resting on his laurels. his nobel prize!!

  • We choose to go to the moon, not because they are easy, but because they are hard...Current US does not have this spirit anymore and US is going to decline.

  • hmmmm.... should i make this my senior quote?

  • Apollo 18 sent me here

  • Fuck you Osborne fuck you asshole

  • he shouldn't have been shot

  • I love that line. and those other things.

  • USA...USA...USA

  • To all making loose comparisons of Obama to Kennedy or others:

Each was in a unique situation, as all leaders are, and it is impossible to say with any certainty how well, let alone what, they would have done handling the situation the other had been presented. Kennedy did a fantastic job as president (exception: bay of pigs), but his ability to deal with a financial crisis, such as the one we currently face, is unknown, as is Obama's ability to deal with a cold war situation, we don't know.

  • @MrElmobn Thank you.. i am tired of people making silly comments like that. Apparently they didn't listen to Kennedy very well when you have a population not giving, at the very least, support out of respect for the position and their country. Both men try to invoke very similar messages to the people and ask them to come together and take on challenges. It just seems that these days people find it easier to blame the other than themselves

  • @MrElmobn

Regarding JFK's ability to respond to a financial crisis. He speaks for himself. Read his 1962 state of the union address. In particular the part on "Strengthening the economy" and "pleasant as it may be to bask in the warmth of recovery - let us not forget that we have suffered three recessions in the last 7 years." Think he might have been up to the task? He would have pushed through legislation and made the RepubliCONS look like idiots! Watch the JFK circus elephant speech.

  • Mr Kennedy was the greatest president we ever had. If only presidents could think, and act like this man did .. the world would be a better place.

  • @JigglesJingle Agreed.

  • JFK was a great leader and had spine of steel..I'm sick of the Obama comparisons. He is stiff and boring and isn't 1/1000th the leader JFK was.

  • Like a Boss

  • Today US President is nothing but a puppet of companies and lobbyists, so saying things like "Obama, you're no Kennedy!" is useless.

Next president will be the same, and the one after him/her also.

  • @rakgitarmen True non-partisan words of wisdom.

Though I'm not sure that completely pertains to Ron Paul. He seems more passionate and stubborn and honest about his beliefs (which I find myself agreeing with)

  • @rakgitarmen so fucking true what you said there.

  • Does anybody else remember when our government was capable of doing great things? And not busy declaring national cheesecake month?

  • What are "THE OTHER THINGS" he referenced TWICE?!?

  • Jack Kennedy, the mood landing, the miracle on ice, the fall of the berlin wall, the way our country came together after 9/11. All things that bring tears to my eyes.

Hey Obama. You are fucking us over. Fuck you !

  • @MickeyMorandini1 Obama is the worst thing to happen to us in a really long time, but that's mainly cuz he did what Bush did in his 2nd term times 1000000 (and now we got Libya, where we're working with Al-Qaeda linked rebels, which to me is like the Iraq War).

If we don't get a good president in office in 2012, we're breaking up into 50 individual nation-states that might not be able to fully survive on their own (maybe Texas will, but California definitely won't)

  • @rhinnawi95 BUSH WAS THE WORST THING, OBAMA IS THE CUSTODIAN CLEANING UP THE BUSH MESS!!!

  • @KeevKash We need a new custodian. This one is getting paid for what he's supposed to do, but he's taking away another $5 trillion to do it. Unfortunately, none of that is working out.

  • @rhinnawi95 Your argument that California, the top SDP in the nation one of the highest GDP's in the world, would fall really loses strength when you use childish phrases like "times 1000000".

  • Superman should've been our president for life, thumb up if you want Superman to be the President.

  • @Luka1180 I'd rather have him in the army

  • MC Killers, milk and cereal. Get it? Forget it.

  • thumbs up if you would replace obama w/ jfk (if he were still alive today) :(

  • @chumtea1111 More then just a thumbs up. You deserve an AMEN!

  • @chumtea1111 awwwwwwww! :,(

  • Barack H. Obama, you're no Jack Kennedy!

  • @The6000Sabre amen to that

  • @The6000Sabre better than bush

  • @pablo8174 Better than Michelob?

  • But, YOU may be a pussy.

  • @The6000Sabre We haven't had a good president since Reagan, and JFK before him, Ike before him and Harding/Coolidge before him, Lincoln before them, Andrew Jackson before him, and everyone before Andrew Jackson.

  • @rhinnawi95 Comparing Reagan to Kennedy is like comparing...there is NO comparison. JFK was a rep. of everything positive in and about America; RW was the opposite, either w/intent or because of a lack of understanding.

  • @MrLovenow Both were amazing presidents, though both had their faults, they were by far better than anyone else apart from Coolidge, Andrew Jackson and his predecessors.

  • @rhinnawi95 I lived through both and Reagan ain't close to being JFK. One was brilliant, brought out the best in us; the other was cold and not very bright. Watch JFK's many press conferences and the few RR had. Then you tell me. [ By the way, Coolidge is considered one of the worst presidents in history.]

  • @MrLovenow Both were great for NASA, come to think of it. Since I posted that 2 months ago, I actually decided against liking Reagan all that much. Sure he was good at some things, but he was too militaristic and spent too much money. JFK was definitely the best last president. As for Coolidge, he was great! He didn't grow the gov't at all, and it didn't need to involve itself into other people's lives, anyways. It's FDR and Hoover who really weren't too good.

  • dont be hard on obama he got given a country in debt and in the logest running war in histrory ,give him a chance to fix bushes shit ,by the way as a argentine ,i just wanna say he is doing great for your international image

  • What he was really saying was: "We choose to go to the moon not because we want to learn something but because we want to show off in front of the Soviets." Anyone who believes anything that any politician, regardless how popular or dead he is, is just plainly naive. Much of the technology used in the feat was already developed for ICBMs and spy satellites. The same applies to both sides of the Cold War.

  • @VersusARCH So. It was still a great achievement.

  • @Joshalidina It indeed was, no question about it. I just don't like hypocrite speeches.

  • @VersusARCH You know nothing about Kennedy. The intent to go to the moon, as he said, was to make sure we did not loose control of the skies. He discussed the coming of the age when communications would be controlled in the skies. Listen to his thoughts through his speeches, interviews and dover 60 press conferences given in 2yrs and 10 months, and see if you don't change your somewhat closed mind.

  • @MrLovenow

"The intent to go to the moon, as he said, was to make sure we did not loose control of the skies. He discussed the coming of the age when communications would be controlled in the skies."

Your inference is crap! Listen to his thoughts. You might find he had a far broader view than control of communications. JFK had a deep commitment to the idea that humanity could be much more. That "No problem of human destiny is beyond human beings."

  • @MrLovenow

"Civilization," said H. G. Wells, "is a race between education and catastrophe." It is up to you in this Congress to determine the winner of that race.

John Fitzgerald Kennedy, State of the Union 1962

  • Barack Obama, you're no Jack Kennedy.

  • Kennedy had balls of steel. Great leader.

  • @Vinitachi ; who told you that? Marilyn Monroe?

    :-)

  • You can see it on his face. :D

  • @Vinitachi -

And unlike Piccolo's, they were not inert... The NWO syndicate of course wants none of that, they simply can't stand it (for example, just take Monsanto's terminator GMO's that make people infertile); they want everyone's balls to be inert, and thus he was assassinated.

They were probably not only not-inert, but were likely at the same time way over 9000 as well.

  • Wish Obama would give a speech like that, everytime I hear this speech it makes me all teary eyed. I think we should work together to colonize and explore space, not fight each other over stupid BS. I want my children to be able to explore beyond this planet and not be a prisoner stuck on it like we are.

  • How does one manage to create a 3.8 trillion dollar budget that DOESN'T provide for a moon shot? Now THAT seems like rocket science.

  • more liberal big govt spending..

  • You need to choose natural gas in favor of middle eastern oil

  • We choose to go to iraq!

  • I choose to clean the cat box in this decade and do the other things not because it is easy but becuse it makes me gag and is hard.

  • We choose to go to the moon!

  • long live america. most inspirational speech of all time.

  • it's hard

  • awesome speech.

  • "because they are hard"

  • I think you'll find it's it's "because they are haaad".

  • This guy had the cojones.

  • this is the greatest speech of all time i hope we never forget it

  • @trekkieguy34 I agree this is one of the greatest speeches. But listen to his Civil Rights Moral Issue speech given during the peak of the Civil Rights clashes, his Peace Speech given at the peak of the Cold War, and his speech on the Arts...terrific, influential and changed the course of events (his Berlin, Paris, South American and Ireland speeches demonstrate why his popularity was through the roof around the world...his actions were, of course, consistent w/his words).
