The debate between tf00t and ray really wasnt so bad. i know im commenting pretty late relative to when you posted this video, but figured you should know. there is also a second debate posted now incase you havent seen. they both express their views strongly however they remain proffesional. People believe what they want to believe and always will. wether that be god or no god its the freedom we all deserve right?
The last section of this video talks about the banner in the church that says to return to "the primitive faith..." and you mention "that is the thirst of the beast".
This reminds me of Dan Dennett's description of memes in his TED talk.
It just seems like half the US population has been taken over and replaced with religious pod people.

I find that Atheists have more respect for people that are religious. I would die for others right to choose whatever religion they want as choice is freedom, yet I find that EVERY religion is mutually exclusive and believe that I, as an Atheist, deserve for bad things to happen to me for not believing in the same God as "them". Religion is subject to the same evolution pressure that all ideas (memes) are. Religion is just another self-interested idea that it will kill off its hosts rather than die. To rid the world of the religion disease (once benign, not lethal) we must vaccinate the world with debates like Comfort vs Thunderfoot and clear off the breeding pools of this pestilence with reason. We killed off smallpox, we can do it to religion.
It was a good debate in terms of it happening and that it had a level of structure albeit from one side. Thunderf00t was still gracious enough to remain calm and concise with his feedback. He took the time to listen and understand and to deliver back relevant explanations that 100% vindicated his 'world view'. Something that Ray failed to do consistently through out the debate. But still Ray was respectively allowed to persist in his unsupported delusion out of respect. A lesson in how it's done

It was a good debate in terms of it happening and that it had a level of structure albeit from one side. Thunderf00t was still gracious enough to remain calm and concise with his feedback. He took the time to listen and understand and to deliver back relevant explanations that 100% vindicated his 'world view'. Something that Ray failed to do consistently through out the debate. But still Ray was respectively allowed to persist in his unsupported delusion out of respect. A lesson in how it's done

Oh my God, it turns out, occasionally meant in a competitive league, several times a week for something like 10 years. The word Testament means a contract, or a covenant. The old contract was the law (good behavior and such) which is impossible to keep. As you probably know. The new contract is remission. Is "good behavior" your honest choice?

A true Christian does not exist. Jesus said, love God with all your heart (more then anything else),and to keep all the commandments (the ten commandments),which are basically impossible. This idea of being saved by just saying a sinner's prayer, and just believing makes you not a true Christian. You have to accept the bible as literal, meaning you must deny the big bang,and Darwinian evolution, and you must not do anything else, other then Biblical activities.

There will always be the unknown that will be replaced with Zeus, Jesus, Jupiter, Mohammed ect. but the ones that will survie this modern world will be ones that don't interfere with the progress of man. We have alot of problems in this world today, and we will find answers to them or face the consequences. Everything has a shelf life, we needed Islam to get Western cultrue though the Dark ages, now they need us to educate them when they wish to emerge.

@Norlick Things like the archemendes manuscirpt were preseved in there libraries. One of these libraries was in Spain and fell into Christian hands when they where driven out. Thus giving us access to centuries of infomation that we only had to learn, not figure out for oursleves. Note the archemendes manuscirpt is a poor example because it was housed in Constaniople, not Spain. By perserving Knowlegde is how they helped us in short.
