He is very good, but where is he now.... He looks very short and not that fast.. The scouts look at size. He would not make it at D-1 football..Maybe if he was at Highland Springs or Varina High he could got more offers...In the city you would have a few good players on the team. maybe 3... In the county 11 or even more..

Brownlee couldn't even get a D1 offer, Noel was the 2nd rated back in the country (brownlee isn't even rated lol), you know nothing about football.

But they went becasue of grades, Brownlee is going because he's not talented enough to make a D1 roster. At least Eddie and Plaxico already had D1 offers coming into Prep school, this kid was barely given an offer by schools inside his own state.
He was more than good enough. He was actually ranked in the top 10 in the country most most polls. He just didn't have the grades. That's usually the problem with the inner city players

First what state is this... like Maine the people hes playing against are really small... And second what division is this school (like in Texas they have 5A-2A... Flordia it goes up to 6A)... Because his competition and the size of the stadiums make it look like he hes playing Middle School people

Rivals has him as a 4.55 for the 40. However, that time is not "Event Verified". And when a number isn't even verified and is posted on Rivals....you can bet your ass that the numbers are exaggerated quite a bit. That's why I say he's a definite 4.6'er and most like closer to a 4.69
gdaway it would take a major injury to keep mcguffie from having a heck of a carreer in college. Sure we havent seen him play in college yet, but with his awesome tools and talent he couldnt suck if he Tried. Sure maybe it's to early 2 predict HOW good he'll be, but he will no doubt be an impact player.
The same thing was said about former 5 star kid, Jason Gwaltney, and he's in a jail in Morgantown now. Let's not annoint Mcguffie anything yet but a really good High School RB. That's all he is, at this point!

sportsandmusicman, no disrespect, but regarding McGuffie, when he was a junior in HS he beat reggie bush in EVERY event in the combines, except benching 225lbs for reps, and Bush was 22, and he has MORE than proven himself on the field. Jayvon is good, but McGuffie would be an impact player at any college as a freshman probably even usc. He IS the real deal. Period.
I'm not holdin his balls ;) BUT I went to proscout and looked at the highlight reels of all the top backs, and he has no peer of his age. Maybe one of the things that doesn't impress me about this jayvon video is the f'n disney music it's set to. It's not just McGuffie, I think there's others out there better than Brownlee IMO.

Yeah VA is comin up, but lets be real. At this point most of the east coast just dont compare to the southern states like TX, OK, LA and all that. Its not like great athletes dont come from there. Just not like these states down here. They definitely on the come up wit PA, NJ, NY though. I'm tryin to do my grad school out there so I can work wit one of those up and comin programs on the east coast.
VA is somewhat on the rise, I went to school out there and they got a couple schools but as a whole they're not fucking with the big 4(FL, TX, OH and CA) and they're not up to the caliber of the mighty south(AL, LA, GA even MS)!

Vision only matters if U can get to where U want to go. In order to do that you need speed.
In general, your LB's aren't that fast in high school. Not all, but a lot of them are bigger slower kids, and he looks like he can barely outrun them.
None of his stuff on here is even impressive, especially for something that is supposed to be a highlight reel of his best stuff.
I am also white, 6' 3" 215lbs and run about a 4.50 in the 40. I'd make a better WR in the NFL then this kid a RB in college.

He looks to me as a definite high 4.6'er. When I say high.....I mean like maybe almost 4.7 in the 40.
Rivals has him as a 4.55 for the 40. However, that time is not "Event Verified". And when a number isn't even verified and is posted on Rivals....you can bet your ass that the numbers are exaggerated quite a bit. That's why I say he's a definite 4.6'er and most like closer to a 4.69

gdaway it would take a major injury to keep mcguffie from having a heck of a carreer in college. Sure we havent seen him play in college yet, but with his awesome tools and talent he couldnt suck if he Tried. Sure maybe it's to early 2 predict HOW good he'll be, but he will no doubt be an impact player.

Jermie Calhoun and Darrell Scott ARE the shit... but McGuffie is DEFINITELY in there class, all 3 are top 5 in nation by all standards, and all 3 would be welcomed at ANY school, usc, lsu, oklahoma, wherever. Every1 has favorites, but there is NO RB in top 5-10-25 even 50 in nation, that does not Seriously kick major ass. In 4-5 yrs we'll be watching McGuffie-calhoun-scott-devine on sundays. All of them.

sportsandmusicman, no disrespect, but regarding McGuffie, when he was a junior in HS he beat reggie bush in EVERY event in the combines, except benching 225lbs for reps, and Bush was 22, and he has MORE than proven himself on the field. Jayvon is good, but McGuffie would be an impact player at any college as a freshman probably even usc. He IS the real deal. Period.

I'm not holdin his balls ;) BUT I went to proscout and looked at the highlight reels of all the top backs, and he has no peer of his age. Maybe one of the things that doesn't impress me about this jayvon video is the f'n disney music it's set to. It's not just McGuffie, I think there's others out there better than Brownlee IMO.

I think we can agree Florida has the best football hands down. Especially for skilled positions and when it comes to speed, no one has more speed than Florida... You guys don't understand, I still live in Florida, growing up kids at 5 are playing touch football with high school kids, learning how to cut and shake. I don't know many other places where you got little kids playign football with older kids like that, and putting move on kids twice their age.. It's the environment

If u wanna be real bout it, Louisiana produces the best athletes. They just end up in FL and TX a lotta the time. I'm not bein biased either cuz I played 5A ball here in TX. I've played against all the big teams here, including Southlake Carroll and I still dont think the best talent comes from here. Id say it goes LA, FL, then TX.

Yeah VA is comin up, but lets be real. At this point most of the east coast just dont compare to the southern states like TX, OK, LA and all that. Its not like great athletes dont come from there. Just not like these states down here. They definitely on the come up wit PA, NJ, NY though. I'm tryin to do my grad school out there so I can work wit one of those up and comin programs on the east coast.
