There is a record number of wells being drilled, drilling rigs are all leased out and working flat out, many oil companies have reported losses and the industry is getting pretty desperate.

The Saudis are perhaps the only country left with any spare capacity and that is estimated to be not too significant.

The days of OPEC controlling price are pretty much over - every one is pumping flat out to meet the ever growing demand, especially from China and India.

The future of Oil? Very expensive!

Yes, and it is 10% ethanol. I own 2 diesels. The flooding in the Midwest will contribute to driving prices higher, because corn is used to make ethanol. The move to ultra-low sulfur diesel was engineered by the fascist global mercantilists because they know there isn't a refinery in North America capable of making it, and now they have us by the shorts. Home heating oil is the same stuff, and is only about 45 cents behind diesel.

But if have been looking into the oil depletion problem for the last 12 months now - there is nothing manufactured about it whatsoever, albeit perhaps some price pressures due to oil traders and speculators.

The majority of oil producing countries are now in decline i.e. each year oil field pressures drop and it becomes more difficult to maintain production rates.

The Bourse determines oil prices, NOT THE OIL COMPANIES, AND NOT SUPPLY AND DEMAND. It costs $3 to $5/barrel to get oil out of the ground. Supply and price are controlled by the Bourse, and the lion's share of the profit goes to the IMF and the World Bank BEFORE THE OIL COMPANIES get THEIR SHARE, which is minuscule in comparison. Oil is the tool to achieve hegemony.
