Paul and Christ both clearly say the law is not to be done away with. If it could, there would have been no need for Christ to die, since it was the law that said the wages of sin is death. The new covenant did away with animal sacrifice and an outward show of circumcision. Hearts are now circumcised and we can immediately ask for forgiveness through prayer. The law said death had to pay for sin. If the law could be done away with, Jesus would not have to die. His Sacrifice is His grace to us and His blood/grace pays our penalty, but it does not make sin okay. Grace pays our price & then we work on our characters & work toward no more sinning. He's right about Sunday not having any special significance - Friday evening til Saturday is the only Sabath. However, the Bible clearly teaches that to "be **absent** from the body is to be present with the Lord". Also that God is the only one who can destroy body AND soul, which is the second death. Paul further taught about the state of "nakedness" between death and resurrection. So he's in error in some areas.

The dead know nothing, but God keeps their souls in His mind until He brings them back in their assigned resurrections like a musician keeps music in his mind until he manifests it through an instrument. They are assigned either to eternal life or perish obliteration.
@brigig I actually never mentioned 1Cr 5v3. In Phil. 1:20-26 Paul is clearly talking about dying, and going to be with Christ, and there are many other similar passages. In Revelation we see the souls of the departed talking to God. 2 Corinthians 5:8 Paul says "Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord."
The "dead" you refer to as "knowing nothing" is a referance to the body which returns to dust.
@mike6291 There is no such thing or Lazarus would have been with the Lord in heaven before Jesus resurrected Him, Or Dorcas would have been with the Lord before Jesus though Peter resurrected her. It would be inconsistent with the tenor of scripture to interpret it as you do. Souls simply are not conscious, until God puts them back into bodies.

@mike6291 I never said they were destroyed, I said they continue in the mind of God unconscious until God puts them in a LIVING body where they can be conscious. Like a musicians music is not destroyed after he stops playing it but continues in his mind until he can reproduce it anytime through an instrument. However, the souls will be completely destroyed in the second death to be as though they had never existed.

@mike6291 Abel's blood was crying out in a loud voice to God after he was killed by Cain but that doesn't mean that Abel's blood was conscious. So the souls represented as crying out to God from under "the altar" must not be conscious.
@brigig Abels blood "spoke out" about his murder because you could see it. If the reference in Revelation were a similar metaphor, their *blood* would likewise have spoken. Instead it is the souls of the departed, and they don't simply speak of their death, but ask God a specific question, and are 'under the alter of God' not in the earth where they were killed. The context of these two passages is completely different. Taken together with all the others it can only refer to conscious beings

"The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence." Ps. 115v17. If the dead do not praise the Lord neither do they ask him questions. Clearly this is not metaphor for God having a conversation with himself, as odd as that would then be. Are there any other churches that celebrate the sabbath (friday sunset to saturday sunset) other than seventh day adventists or herbert armstrong offshoots? e) He says that demonic spirits can impersonate anything, given the opportunity, & more importantly can predict the future.
@Anfmethodjor f) So why wouldn't they know or realize that he wasn't an ideal subject, since he would eventually "discern" their abominations and contemptibility, and forsake their cult? Or did they know it all along, and it was simply part of the plan?
g) I don't think Satan can read you're inner thoughts, that's why exorcisms aren't achieved through quiet meditation. BUT I think he can influence your emotions, so rather Mr. Monreau's motivations were hidden from Satan, or influenced by him...

I am a Seventh Day Adventists. Never are we ever to be considered the only people to be saved, and anyone that says that is wrong. People from all religions will be saved. Saturday is in fact the day blessed by God, not Sunday, that's a historical fact. The Catholic church changed the day, look it up. Paul and Christ both clearly say the law is not to be done away with. If it could, there would have been no need for Christ to die, since it was the law that said the wages of sin is death. The new covenant did away with animal sacrifice and an outward show of circumcision. Hearts are now circumcised and we can immediately ask for forgiveness through prayer. The law said death had to pay for sin. If the law could be done away with, Jesus would not have to die. His Sacrifice is His grace to us and His blood/grace pays our penalty, but it does not make sin okay. Grace pays our price & then we work on our characters & work toward no more sinning. That's sanctification & our work.

If you know "the living know that they will die, but the dead know not anything (Ecclesiastes 9:5)," you will know that your dead loved one cannot come back and talk to you, therefore you can't be tricked into believing it is them..

Spirits will return to their bodies but anyway I think John lacks knowledge here since we are not saved for being good or bad but by what Yeshua did for us.

Same principles are in both except now we have Christ to replace all the commands that had to do with the earthly sanctuary man-made structure and making atonement for sin and such in the old covenant. I wondered about Scriptural support for this, & instantly I heard: "Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus." (Revelation 14:12) & "No one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit." (1 Corinthians 12:3)
(I had to look up the chapter & verse) Of course, you have to ask Him for yourself.

@zipfreer The Holy Spirit who inspired the Bible also inspired her writings, though the Bible has greater authority. It is possible for you and I to be inspired by the Same Spirit who wrote the Bible even today. It is a absolute necessity to have that Spirit if we are to correctly understand the Bible. I believe Ellen White was given that Spirit by the God who doesn't hold back what is Good.

@zipfreer I don't think it is a false religion, although some people in it, put E. White too highly, which is not what she wanted. She said she only wants to point to the Bible. Not be equal with it. Some people make the mistake of putting her equal, but doesn't make the religion false. Other people are also inspired. She had a health message, and other; there are other people also inspired.

He's right about Sunday not having any special significance - Friday evening til Saturday is the only Sabath. However, the Bible clearly teaches that to "be **absent** from the body is to be present with the Lord". Also that God is the only one who can destroy body AND soul, which is the second death. Paul further taught about the state of "nakedness" between death and resurrection. So he's in error in some areas.

1Cr 5v3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, [concerning] him that hath so done this deed,
The dead know nothing, but God keeps their souls in His mind until He brings them back in their assigned resurrections like a musician keeps music in his mind until he manifests it through an instrument. They are assigned either to eternal life or perish obliteration.

@brigig I actually never mentioned 1Cr 5v3. In Phil. 1:20-26 Paul is clearly talking about dying, and going to be with Christ, and there are many other similar passages. In Revelation we see the souls of the departed talking to God. 2 Corinthians 5:8 Paul says "Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord."
The "dead" you refer to as "knowing nothing" is a referance to the body which returns to dust.

@mike6291 There is no such thing or Lazarus would have been with the Lord in heaven before Jesus resurrected Him, Or Dorcas would have been with the Lord before Jesus though Peter resurrected her. It would be inconsistent with the tenor of scripture to interpret it as you do. Souls simply are not conscious, until God puts them back into bodies.

The scripture clearly says that we can be "away from the body" and therefore "at home with the Lord" not sleeping in a grave.

I refuse to accept that we can be conscious with the Lord away from our deceased body because it would contradict such verses as: Act 2v34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: Why would we need a resurrection if we are already with the Lord?

You also appear to not understand resurrection, which is of the mortal body. The tent we have now for our temporary mission becomes a house of permenant residence - immortal. @mike6291 I never said they were destroyed, I said they continue in the mind of God unconscious until God puts them in a LIVING body where they can be conscious. Like a musicians music is not destroyed after he stops playing it but continues in his mind until he can reproduce it anytime through an instrument. However, the souls will be completely destroyed in the second death to be as though they had never existed.

@brigig but that is clearly not what the text is saying.... The text is saying they are *located* under an altar, and are 'crying out in a loud voice' TO God, and asking him a question. Unconscious people who are nothing but decaying bodies in the dirt can't do any of those things.

@brigig Abels blood "spoke out" about his murder because you could see it. If the reference in Revelation were a similar metaphor, their *blood* would likewise have spoken. Instead it is the souls of the departed, and they don't simply speak of their death, but ask God a specific question, and are 'under the alter of God' not in the earth where they were killed. The context of these two passages is completely different. Taken together with all the others it can only refer to conscious beings

@brigig I notice you change the subject fairly often. I'm talking about what the text says.. The text has the SOULS of the departed asking a question, AND getting an answer. Clearly this is not metaphor for God having a conversation with himself, as odd as that would then be. Unconscious dead people don't ask questions and get answers, nor reside in a location other than where their bodies are. Matthew 10:28 counters Ps 115 - it shows there is a difference between a dead body & a soul.

Are there any other churches that celebrate the sabbath (friday sunset to saturday sunset) other than seventh day adventists or herbert armstrong offshoots? I really want christian fellowship but i can't seem to find one that obeys the early apostles I.E. celebrating the holy days (passover, feast of tabernacles etc) , obeying the sabbath, belief that when we die we are in a sleep like state until the ressurection, belief that we are not immortal souls.......oh and thanks for uploading this :)

so is being an adventist good or bad? Because he said lucifer hates those people the most that worship onsunday because they can't be affected by him. I don't go to church anymore, but when I used to it was all about God.. I never thought about Lucifer or any negative thought for that matter. I read the bible every day and pray everyday. Even growing up as a kid I knew we were living in the end times. Am I one of those people Lucifer hates?or do I commence to his plan by worshiping God on sunday

You better start now if you want to prepare to stand for the true Friday sunset to Saturday sunset period sabbath. RFID chips will ensure closer monitoring and enforcement. Also regulation of buying and selling will ensure termination of these privileges in noncompliance. First it will be legislated without penalty, then the penalty will be enforced after about 3 and a half years.

I think that the best lie is surround by truths.
There are statements in this interview that really give me mixed reactions.
I am praying for God, Lord Jesus Christ to give me insight.
I will just mention a few of my doubts, & please, if you have an opinion about it, reply with clarity. I would love to know what people think about it:
a) He says that the Satan had great plans for him.
b) He says that the High Priest interacted personally with him, even before his permanent iniciation.

d) Thus, maybe, just maybe, the indocrinated, Satanist, are completely decieved and influenced by fear and his charm. Therefore, what they say and do should be questioned. They may believe they are telling the truth, but we all know that this fact substantiate make the absolute truth.
e) He says that demonic spirits can impersonate anything, given the opportunity, & more importantly can predict the future.

g) I don't think Satan can read you're inner thoughts, that's why exorcisms aren't achieved through quiet meditation. BUT I think he can influence your emotions, so rather Mr. Monreau's motivations were hidden from Satan, or influenced by him...
