He beat the driver not the car, not to mention the guy is probably a noob with the car to start with. I'd like to know what the stang ran because the current record for a stock SRT Viper is 10.92@129 driven by "wanted" from the vca.
Wow, I just stumbled across this video of MY VIPER! In my own defense, we were just out having some fun that night. I certainly wasn't trying to break any records. I did run it up to 120+ mph though despite a poor launch. Happy to give you mustang guys something to smile about. I'm actually a long time mustang fan / owner myself. It won't happen again! Ha ha! :-)

Driver of the Viper was obviously new to Vipers and probably drag racing in general. He ran a 12.6 people... the Gen 4 Vipers can run mid 11s easily. The driver was probably some hot shot business exec who just hit his midlife crises so he went out and bought the high end sports car... his previous ride probably didn't even put down 300 at the wheel. The Viper is the faster car here fellas... the driver was just in over his head; it's a 500+ whp car. A V6 Rustang on spray can't match that.
